Kinda sucks that Hong Kong Disneyland is a bit lacking in the iconic rides department, this ride is a bit underwhelming to say the least, but atleast kids will like it, it's got some cool things going for it
Disney has to spend more on Hong Kong Disneyland. The “budget park” scheme hasn’t worked at all since its inception. I mostly blame Michael Eisner for this and partly on Bob Iger. This sad refurbishment is nothing but a reflection of how Disney has poorly treated HKDisney over the years. The arrival of Shanghai Disney also played such a huge role in the demise of HKD (not the currency). Why did they have to make Shanghai Disney so much better than HK?
Deep down there was a part of me that was sort of excited for the first marvel ride but this is a huge disappointment 😅 Not a single animatronic!? At least Buzz had a few as well as moving parts. YIKES! Now I’m really worried about the future of the parks (not that I wasn’t before lol)
Inkiad Kabir the other ones are a drop ride and a simulator. This is the first dark ride type ride. You can’t really do much with the other two so I was hoping this one would be good but it’s kinda trash lol.
Sad part is, they could have made a decent ride themed around existing ride tech. Take the idea of Honey I Shrunk the Audience but use Star Tours vehicles. Imagine a queue where people are walking through Pym technologies labs and we’re supposed to be in a viewing room where we get to view the newest tech but something goes awry and we end up getting shrunk down and pulled around by an ant with Ant-man talking to us. The fun thing though would be that we are flying through our regular world stuff, just very close up, so it would be similar to the train battle in the first movie where it looks like this high-speed crazy adventure and in actuality it was just a toy train. In the end we would escape and be returned to our normal size. It’s not a great idea, but I think it fits the storyline better than this ride does.
So much potential for what could be an awesome ride experience...too bad the complacency, lack of effort and small budget show in the final disappointing product
Remember, this is just a re-skin of the Buzz Lightyear attraction, which was a pretty basic ride to begin with. It's the same attraction, just with more "relevant" IP. What were y'all expecting? Some E-ticket, mind-blowing, immersive experience? Maybe they should have added some animatronics, but I still see it as a lateral movie. It's not a big deal, but it wasn't ever attempting to be. Also, I can assure you the Marvel attractions in the States will be much more lavish as they're being built from scratch and have ginormous budgets.
That's a valid stance, but I would keep in mind that budgets (and space) are finite. Hong Kong is currently designing a massive, immersive Avengers E-ticket to be completed by 2023, but not every attraction can cost $200+ million. Building this from scratch might've meant forgoing one of the two attractions in the upcoming Frozen land. There's always tradeoffs. This isn't a good attraction, but neither was Buzz. This was mainly done to help transform part of Tomorrowland into a cohesive Marvel mini-land.
@@mk97232 at least buzz lightyear was already built, meaning they could've saved the entire budget that they spent on this ride if they had just left it alone, plus they wouldn't have got so much critism bevause dusney is treating this like it's an all new attraction, which we both know it really isn't
Remember, they're attempting to turn part of Tomorrowland into a Marvel mini-land, which is why this conversion was done. It's a good idea to have a cohesive vision for this area, otherwise I suspect Tomorrowland would’ve been slowly absorbed, piecemeal by disparate science fiction franchises. That's a big problem with other Tomorrowlands. Simply, Toy Story IP doesn't work next to Marvel IP.
@@mk97232 true, but this was still a waste of money, and I'm sure even that little bit of space could've been used for something quite a bit better, and even if they did need to do this, they could've at least put 1 anamatronic or something, it's not like disney doesn't have the money
Honestly they should’ve made the arnim zola fight an actual fight like you’re fighting a robotic hydra symbol. Tentacles and everything. Hail hydra for the record
theming looks nice, now cant wait for them to install the practical effects and upgraded vehicles that wont stop 10 times per ride.....cmon Disney. Sure hope this is not a preview of the Spiderman attraction at DCA
This ride looks so boring and uninspired. It’s like a crappy buzz light year. No stakes no animatronics. This might just be on the same level as Superstar Limo.
Completely boring. Buzz lightyear is way better than this. It’s just so bland and uninteresting. I can’t imagine what they were thinking but someone should have ripped up the plans and said “start over”.
At face value, this isn't the worst attraction ever. I think it looks pretty cool. At least it's different. Though, is it really impressive? Nah. Buzz was definitely a more impressive attraction given the moving parts and the targets actually being hidden and hard to hit. Would I call this a cheap reskin? No. For what it is, the effects and the screens do look really good, and I doubt that besides the track, that anything is still there from Buzz. I personally don't care for the theme, but it was probably the smartest choice to go with in terms of money. Personally, I would have made it into a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction if anything, but that probably would have taken more time and more effort. If this was a completely new attraction going into the park, it would have been probably met with higher praise, but as a replacement for Buzz, these are a couple of computer bugs that we could have done without.
*Disney buddy we love you but nobody wants to be in an omnimover* *Especially with Superheroes We want more thrilling High Velocity moving ride systems like Indiana Jones or Harry Potter or Little Mix of both*
Omnimovers are fine if there's something interesting for them to move through. Just putting more moving robotic scenery in this thing would improve it.

Shotpack 837 well I’d say they implemented the screens pretty well, plus it would be hard to hit the targets if the robots where moving like they would, fast and erratic, they would probably be waaayyy too hard to hit for the kids that go on this ride
I can't believe they actually made a bigger disappointment than the first Ant-Man movie. This is a huge let down. It could have been a great concept for a ride, but instead of animated targets and unique props for the miniaturized set, they chose Bland computer grid walls in stationery plain looking targets. Good luck, Disneyland Hong Kong. You deserve better.
I thought the ride was going to consist of you the person on the ride knowing what it’s like to be shrunken down to the size of an ant. Like hmm idk interacting with ants, dodging people shoes and girls heels from them walking and feeling their stomps when they walk and fighting off bad guys or something but this was disappointing smh 🤦🏽♂️.
thedogisoflove - Putting in a Spider-Man ride in the former Bug’s Land area would require them to completely create something from scratch since there weren’t any dark rides in Bug’s Land.

For anybody that feels underwhelmed, keep in mind, this is a replacement for Buzz Lightyears Astro Blaster. It was never meant to be a E ticket attraction but something that is meant to have something fresh as HK Disneyland undergoes significant chances which includes two new lands and a castle. It is, in my opinion, leaps ahead of a hollow Astro Blaster clone of Disneyland's. @@lunahetfield At least those rides had stuff that actually moved.
@@lunahetfield those rides are both 100 times better, because at least there not just a bunch of the same robots doing nothing that you're shooting at, and they don't just ho through a bunch of generic looking dark rooms
great ideas in here but in execusion it needs more for the lack of a better term "movement"
inferior, sub-par, underwhelming, not worthy, cheap comes to mind
This looks cheap and boring. Sorry Disney but THIS time you messed up.
Who else watched the Defunctland season 2 finale?
That's really depressing. There isn't even anything to see!
They just need to let Universal do Marvel rides .
Yes because the X-Men teacups at Islands of Adventure are totally better than this
Probably more fun
@@merimoon731 honestly you know this is bad when it's worse than the ride it replaced, at lest storm force takes up an extremely tiny space in islands of adventure and still has better fx lol
What’s the point if there’s no moving targets?
Hong Kong getting the short end again.
Went to HK Disneyland last year and was bummed that I would miss the opening of this ride. But.... looking at this video does not make me sad anymore. At least the Iron Man ride and meet-and-greet was great!
They should have kept the buzz lightyear ride instead
They could have at least made the targets move or something. What good is a shooting gallery attraction without moving targets?
Kinda sucks that Hong Kong Disneyland is a bit lacking in the iconic rides department, this ride is a bit underwhelming to say the least, but atleast kids will like it, it's got some cool things going for it
Could this confirm that Zola is still alive?
This isn't the first Marvel ride.
When you're story and queue are better than the ride itself.
Hey at least we know Arnim Zola is still at large
could have been MUCH better. it’s a shame too, my favorite heroes get such a lousy ride :/
Everything blends together, like the colors and the high tech aesthetic, that I can't really tell what's going on.
It’s called desaturation
It’s a design choice
Top of the notch
Only when making cheap dapper movies
Not DISNEY quality ride!
There's no excuses for this waste of space, they should've started from scratch if that's what they needed to do
That's a valid stance, but I would keep in mind that budgets (and space) are finite.
It's not a preview, because it is the spiderman ride
this is what they mean by "looks good on paper, but not in practice"
This is hot garbage! With a property like marvel and money like Disney has this is the best they can do?!?!
My finger hurts just watching this.
Someone needs to make a hydro style computer like the one in the ride!
Honestly despite being a bit lacking I think this ride is enjoyable. It's very interesting how it connects to the Iron Man experience story.
Not what I imagined ,actually.......
Aaaah I can't wait to go.
*Disney buddy we love you but nobody wants to be in an omnimover*
*Especially with Superheroes We want more thrilling High Velocity moving ride systems like Indiana Jones or Harry Potter or Little Mix of both*
Omnimovers are fine if there's something interesting for them to move through. Just putting more moving robotic scenery in this thing would improve it.
New Avengers Campus Coming To Disney's Hollywood Studios Celebrating Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary, Disneyland Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland And Disneyland Paris
Kind of a let down everything looks soo inorganic.
Jose Hernandez ...inorganic?
Theheroneeded Willette he probably means doesn’t feel alive or something like that. The definition is not consisting of or deriving from living matter
You can’t believe what’s coming next
It’s doctor strange I think
Why?
Who knows
I thought the ride was going to consist of you the person on the ride knowing what it’s like to be shrunken down to the size of an ant. Like hmm idk interacting with ants, dodging people shoes and girls heels from them walking and feeling their stomps when they walk and fighting off bad guys or something but this was disappointing smh 🤦🏽♂️.
so BORING

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh!
I have visited HKDL more than 20 times a year. This is so much disappointment.
Not a great ride
I wouldn't be suprised if they did this to california
They might. Becuase it's cheap.
It’s not like the Spider-Man ride at DCA will be a reskin of an already existing attraction.
@@MegaSoulHero We ultimately don't know. But based on the pattern so far, it is not unrealistic to predict it as a possibility.
thedogisoflove - Putting in a Spider-Man ride in the former Bug’s Land area would require them to completely create something from scratch since there weren’t any dark rides in Bug’s Land.
@@MegaSoulHero Had a brainfart in last reply to you. You're right, the reskin probability is very low. What I ultimately meant was they will go for quick and cheap and easy. Their quality of work as of late is very underwelming. I have been paying more attention to Universal's developments lately over Disney's because of this.
For what it's worth while I agree that does lack charm it does however fit with the new marvel land portion currently under construction.
Sugar Coating?...there are only 2 types of rides...a good one and a bad one
This is terrible
Buzz lightyear got nothing om this ride
Disappointed :/
This ride sux
BORING!
Why there's No Luis?
A lackluster ride for a lackluster movie
Ant man.....turned us all into Rant Man....this sucks
Wow just Like buzz light year Ride
JD C, it literally replaced that ride
Accept somehow worse
Gamer A., yeah I can kind of agree with that, and I never really liked Astro Blasters at any disney park
This is a terrible concept for a superhero ride
Next year Spider-Man is going to have that same right system
An omnimover is not interesting it's *slow* and *boring* it may work for something like Haunted Mansion *but with characters like Ant Man and Spider-Man that typically move at a high velocity there should be a lot of energy & moving around*
This is disappointing to a lot of people but it takes a lot of money , time and effort to build this so you should just wait for new rides I guess
I believe this rides budget was planned to be lower because of the expansion happening at the park. Frozen & the new Castle ate most of the budget (rumored to 90% or more). Hong Kong Disneyland is small but mighty. It is still the most beautiful disney park I've been to. I love that it's surrounded by mountains!
Truely a wonderful park indeed. Underrated park.
Yes, a new Marvel ride and attractions experience is here!!
"Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle!" is Now open at Hong Kong Disneyland as join forces with "Iron Man Experience"!!
Because the new "Marvel Land" is Coming in 2023 to Hong Kong Disneyland as be a lookout for a new ride and attractions about "Avengers ride and attractions"!!
And I want to see it first!!!😁😁😁 cause I saw it first!!
And the new "Marvel Land" are both Coming in 2020 to Disney's California Adventure Park in California and Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris!!
Because, next year must be the 65th anniversary celebration of "Disneyland" in California and the 15th anniversary celebration of "Hong Kong Disneyland" in Hong Kong at the same time!!
Is that right?
looks boreing
While I like this version. It proves that the idea of the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster ride system is pretty outdated
aquapyro1 really it’s more of what’s happening for it to be fun that’s why the MIB ride at universal is fun because so much stuff is moving and looks amazing
@@gabrielcorrea700 and they still managed to make mib good even though they reused tge cat in the hat ride system now that says something
The screens look great, that’s the only positive.
My god .... So bad ....
Boring version of Buzz Lightyear at Disneyland, CA.
SAME TRACK OF BUZZ LIGHTYEAR ASTRO BLASTSRS!!! 😄😄😄😄
IT IS ANT-MAN
Boring....ZZZzzzz
They need to bring these rides to Disneyland!
Disneyland needs to hurry up catch up with this
Awsome! A Realy Hiper High-Tech Version Of Buzz Ligthyear Lasar Blast :)

No, it’s ultra 4K projection but recorded by PewDiePie’s ultra high tech 90’s camera
