I've never seen this movie, so I don't know how it ends. Not all Black movies or movies about Blacks end sadly. And the thing is, despite being shackled and terrorized for 531 years, we continue to make America, and make America great.

It had the same sad ending in 1921 when Caucasian W. Somerset Maugham wrote it as a short story titled "Rain,” and the same sad ending in 1928 as “Sadie Thompson” starring white Gloria Swanson, and in 1932 again titled “Rain” starring tan Joan Crawford.

Some of the worst acting ever seen until one considers the schlock shown today. At least these folks gave it their best without the help of the studios which often took years developing stars before putting them on screen.
