- Hello, everyone!
In today's video, I decided to do some watercolor painting to use as a jumping-off point for a mixed-media piece! I LOVE the look of watercolor, and I also love painting with them. It's a completly different experience from acrylics, and you can get some really beautiful effects!
I used several different techniques for this piece, and I had a lot of fun making it!
I hope you enjoy!

Love this❣️. The flowers look like they are tumbling down from a sky.
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed this one. I’m definitely going to do more with flower technique.☺️
I love the flower technique! This piece turned out awesome. Love it!❤️
Thank you so much!😊
Great video and I love this technique!
Thanks so much!☺️
I've learned a lot more about youtube creator side. And now I know why so many youtube artists have gone inactive. I wondered why artists stayed on topic exactly every video. As a mixed media artist, it would be difficult for me to just paint or just sewing. I don't understand this youtube rule. ❤
Yeah, it can definitely be frustrating. I wish we were actually allowed to know what the rules were, lol it would make content a whole lot easier!☺️
Yip English is on back of each pan of all the Kuretake pan sets. Enjoy.
I must have a different set… I just tore my entire box apart, but unfortunately there was no English there. Oh well. I will just have to keep making up names, lol!🤣🤣🤣
Melissa, my set has the colors in English on the bottom of each pan, check yours out. 😊
🤦♀️ are you serious, lol? That’s fantastic!🤣🤣🤣
Try visual translate
Now, that is a great idea!☺️
How do you keep the watercolor from smearing when you apply the collage pieces and the mat/gloss medium?
I had the same question…. Don’t you need a fixative?
I wondered if I would have an issue with that, but I did not use any type of fixative, and I didn’t have any smearing at all. I can’t say that that would happen with every type of watercolor, but the ones that I used stayed put!☺️
