Moored at a pet friendly marina, perfect for a live aboard situation.
I am not quite ready to live here full time, but I'm working on it. And the more time I spend there, the more I love it on the boat! With any luck, this'll be my full time house real soon.
In this video, I sewed together some bedding that actually fit the front berth. One thing you don't see here is how difficult it is to make a bed when you have to be on top of it to reach the front! This boat life is gonna take some getting used to.
But catching dinner whenever I want might be one of the many things that make up for those kinds of hardships!
In the next video, I'll show a bit more of the fishing and cooking the freshest fish I've ever had!
Stay tuned!
And check out my facebook page and give it a like, because that's where I update new stuff as it happens!

Thanks for watching
Love to see that you got a used boat instead of buying a new one and making it fit you rather that you having to fit the boat she's a beauty
A sewing machine is a crafty creative tool and just one of many in your arsenal! And the outcome was quite impressive!
Usually when I go thru my list of subscriptions on youtube, I'll pass a bunch before I settle on what to watch. I find that every time I come to your posts I'll stop to watch. Great vids and thanks.
nathan rubio That's quite the compliment. Thank you, Nathan.
zoffinger you are the best fishing u tuber keep up the good work hope u stay safe!
Fishing off the back porch and pulling up that nice flounder!! Oh, man. Does it get any better!! I'm not exactly sure just what it is that I love about watching your vids; your fresh, honest and helpful nature as you share your fishing life with us is what I love the most. Beautiful dogs too. They're always in a tail-wagging mood.
Hey, i started watching you for kayak modes, but now I am just watching everything. You are great. Thank you!
youre an inspiring dude marty. youre crafting a a life many people only dream about.
Definitely be proud that you can sew!! Love the color scheme of the bed. looks much more comfortable than the old cushion.
zoffinger I have been very impressed with your fishing, kayak, and diy videos but I am blown away with you being able to sew too! WOW!!! I had a chance to buy a boat years ago and live on it while I fixed it up too....but alas I took the easy way out and lived on land....Always regretted that. Keep up the good work!!!
Keep up the awesome work! Can not wait to see what the boat looks like when finished. Remember not to overwork too much, and keep time for tight lines.
you are now officially my new favorite you tuber. your an awesome dude
Is there anything you can't do? You're amazing! I wish I could do half the things you can do. You should be proud very proud.
FANTASTIC fishing.....and you have not even left the bay !! Well done !!
Man is there anything you don't know how to do? Amazing. Great Marty.
Best shows online! Great to see someone living the dream
When you post a video Marty I'm telling you it's sooo exciting, because I can't to watch it every time you post a new one✌Please keep up the awesome videos!!!
Simply inspiring that you're living your dreams out. Keep up the videos! Thoroughly enjoy them and can't wait until your next one is out.
Love will watching your vids
Don’t laugh about sewing! Once people know you sew all your buddies will be needing everything fixed. Learned to sew when sailing...huge part of fixing gear/sails. Awesome!
Awesome video! Keep up the good work! I look forward to every video you post! And it's awesome you only have to walk 10 feet to catch, clean, and cook your own fish!
Something about your attitude is contagious ! I’m subbed , I envy your lifestyle ! And the dogs are awesome 🐶 !
As first comment I would like to say that I love what you're doing with the boat. Keep up the good work my friend.
I love your channel every day I come home from school and check if you uploaded a video
That was a nice flounder you caught!!! Awesome job Mr Zoffinger!!! Tight Lines!!!
Awesome boat, and nice flounder that is pretty nice to have right there when you need em.
Hey just keep him coming man I watch these kind of videos I love fishing hopefully one day I'll be able to catch up Big Tuna that's my dream
Pretty awesome man.. nice work in the bed... never feel embarrassed of your knowledge. There is many out there who wish to have the talent you have and every drop of it is what makes you special and be as great as you are... i used to work in a factory with a sawing machine as well sometimes having one at home would had save me when my kids ask to dress for different occasions at school. Its not something everyone knows but it really can get you out of trouble sometimes.... anyway man it's looking great the boat. I was thinking now the videos will change a bit i guess we will see the clock the coffee machine but not kayak and no car just take the rod and done cast it and get those gorgeous fish...... i never slept in a boat but i wonder how it could be a night during a storm when is moving up and down with the waves and the wind... i guess god bless everyone differently he blessed me with my family and he blessed you with all the freedom knowledge and opportunities to enjoy life to the fullest.
Still lovin the updates ! The boat is going to be sweet when you move on full time !
Nice progress marty! Can't wait for more content to see your hard work!
You are like my idol I have watched so many of your videos they are just great! Keep them up
You're a very skilled and handy man! keep up the good work and good luck on your journey
Awesome flonder. Looks like a nice place to relax and zone out.
Zof .... I love the videos, continue to live life on your terms!
Nice Flounder!! Looks like you and the dogs are making themselves right at home too!
Flounder at the dock, what a life:)
I never learned how to use a sewing machine but wish I did. I know how to patch a sail by hand sewing. sewing is a part of a sailors skillset same as tying knots or working on the lines and rigging.
Have to love catching flounder off your porch!
I used to catch flounder with my bare hands when I was a kid. You just waited for low tide, floated along the lagoon and when you found an arrowhead shape in the sand you just reached down and pinned it to the ground and then reached under and lifted it up.
man dinner right at the dock....love your vids....i inspire to do the same some day
Love seeing the boat and fish
i think it's a nice name for the video series (On The Boat: episode 3 - engine fix & big fish )
Awesome vid! A real man knows how to do it all!
Great Job...Boat is looking awesome.....Nice shade under those back deck awnings...
Those are some nice fish you catch there in the Marina. Nice setup you are putting together.

It's really coming along. Wow you know how to sew. I was never good at it. Very handy for costumes and making beds. I too love Halloween. It's my favorite Holiday. BTW, I finally got my first kayak. I put up a video about it today. Very exciting.
Buddy, looks to me like yer coming along just fine! Kinda envious of ya. Can't wait to see more of it. Tho I doubt you'll ever be completely done with it. Always be sumpthin. :-) Fish looked good!
Catching dinner off the back of your boat.. How good is that !
Looked yummy too
That is way cool man. I'm wishing you lots of luck. I live in the middle of the US and no ocean to be seen. Someday maybe I'll live close to open water and good fishing.
Love seeing the updates! 👍
Bed looks great Marty! Good job! And what a nice founder;-) (from the Scandinavian guy)
Nice work you sure are talented. I always enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing
Fishing in your own "backyard" ... Nice. That's the liveaboard dream.
You're such a hard worker. I love your passion and motivation!
Awesome!!! You're truly the best handy man around! Haha
Another great video... Thanks Marty!
Jimmy Buffet Floridays is my favorite album of his (saw you had that one at 4:25 ) Creola is great, and of course "floridays - blue skies and ultraviolet rays!" Nice!
The Lawn Care Nut I was streaming Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville via SiriusXm while I was filming this. Pretty standard listening on the boat :^)
Brother, that bed is awesome!!
Really enjoying your boat adventure. Keep it up!
Really nice video, and your dogs are just down right adorable :D
That is so cool, your living your dream.
Inspiring bed job!
Nice shirt in the beginning pic! Awesome man. Keep em coming!
Oh man! You are living my dream brotha. For now I'll stick to working on my 14 and 16 tin cans. My funds are already maxed out with them. You make some awesome videos. If your ever looking for a blind camera man im around haha. Good luck with your boat and tight lines.
my dad showed me how to sew carpet and socks when mom and bro left. but a machine is a lot better then a carpet needle!!
Good luck from Spain! I like your videos.
Great additions! Love how you could fish right off of the boat. I know that you are wrapped up right now, but maybe someday you can get a snook light
Seriously what can't you do lol AWSOME project! You should make an Instagram considering the wonderful photography I believe I recall you doing I think it'd be a big hit
Great video as always!
newly subscribed and I love the videos man! keep em coming! tight lines from Pasco county!
great job so far on that boat Marty!! looking good!! and the best part is that u can catch fish from the boat without having to leave the marina! although i do have to tell you it can be a hazardous at times to eat fish from marinas due to all the oils and emissions released from boats and sometimes human waste. if the marina has a super large inlet to go in or out or two inlets on both sides its ok i guess since the water can flow in and out with strong tides. we have a marina down here in deep texas and its pretty big but theres only one small tiny inlet that two boats your size can bearly go through. the fishing is good in there but not so much for eating. a guy i know got sick for eating fish from that marina. after that they posted a sign not to consume fish from there and if you do its at ones own risk.. anyways still super cool you can catch dinner at your house lol!
Zoff! I say later down the road you get some of your bigger rods and reels and go offshore for some grouper!
Awesome boat man love ur videos..I just picked up a 20ft crestliner
Nice job Marty!
Looking good Marty..
Nicely done. Have done my share of sailing, a sewing machine and some skills are a big bonus (plus chicks dig guys that sew). Love the fishing off the back of your living room, will be a big bonus for half time during football season. Maybe a folding crab trap?
Hey Marty you should try using some gulp new penny shrimp they work really well and I catch fish on them all the time and a lot of flounder with them
nice marty..just do daily vlog marty its be awesome and fun..gudluck!
You need to rig up a rod holder so you can cast your pole and let it set nearby while you work. Then when you get a bite you can mess with it.
Always interesting, Marty. Yes, some may think that knowing how to operate a sewing machine is a close step to losing the man card. Those that actually know how to use it know that its another notch in the card!. A man just needs to be creative, and have the proper tools - in that case a sewing machine.
Was over in the Charlotte Harbor area this past weekend flats fishing. You need to get out of the marina and into the kayak. Fish are biting!
Jim M truth!
+zoffinger how much was the boat
Caught a doormat on your door mat nice!
Love the videos man keep it coming!
Cool videos, thanks!
Good stuff keep it coming
wow! nice job
Great video.
Can you also do a set up vid of your rods and what hook set ups to that you use for each fish. Keep up the great work!! :)
Awesome man your an inspiration
I feel like maybe you should show how you cook the fish you catch more often 👌🏽
Love ur vids man keep up the good work
I love how I see comments like "great job marty" when they couldn't have even finished the video lol makes me laugh etverytime
ascending scooters this makes no sense how can you know if they finished the video or not just by there comment, also they could have just been saying great job on the nice fish he had caught so what does it matter if they finished or not, either way they are being supportive of a great guy who puts lots of work into his video so chill out and let them do what they want
No need for groceries just let me get my rod and we set for din din lol
Loved the vid mate
Great job marty!! Your tha best!!:-)
you should sail to the florda keys that would be a great to watch
Jack of all trades...
Wow talk about some fresh fish lol
SOOO coool!!
Love the vids
Great video great youtuber great job
Nice!
First one!! Awesome boat man
Nope!
Marty great video I am every jelouse of your boat... Just 1 thing though... I wouldnt reccomend eating the fish caught right at the marina because the fish can break in some nasty engine fuel so it can somewhat harm them and eventually pass to you
