      Hi 😊 I'm a beginner as well and what it's working for me it watched simple or basic knots and then start it with "figures"
      You could try jus doing half hitch knots and after a while try to do a diagonal. It's important be careful with the tension and remember it's just for fun, learning for the joy to achieve a new experience is better than to try to be perfect. Happy creations ☺️

    sorry but this isn't for beginners, you aren't explaining what you are doing clearly at each step - the only way an actual beginner can possibly follows this, is by rewinding about 10 times!
