  • In this video you will learn how to say days of week in Tibetan.
    week = བདུན་ཕྲག་ or གཟའ་འཁོར་
    day = ཉི་མ་ / ཉིན།
    Sunday = གཟའ་ཉི་མ།
    Monday = གཟའ་ཟླ་བ།
    Tuesday = གཟའ་མིག་དམར།
    Wednesday = གཟའ་ལྷག་པ།
    Thursday = གཟའ་ཕུར་བུ།
    Friday = གཟའ་པ་སངས།
    Saturday = གཟའ་སྤེན་པ།

    wow I'm learning Tibetan! lots of Tibetans in NYC, especially in Jackson heights so they help me pronounce too! After I learn uchen my dream is to learn the flowing crazy looking cursive....actually there's a couple restaurants in Jack hgts their signs are in that script...woh!

    Hi, I am a beginner of Tibetan language, I have a question , is the last ག in གཅིག making a sound? I have come across both of two pronunciations on it, mute and making sound, don’t know which is correct.

      not sure if you still need this but the last ག in གཅིག is the one that makes the sound. The first ག is the prefix (makes no sound) and the last two characters are the ones that make the sound. The second ག, right after the ཅི is a suffix, part of the 10 tibetan character suffixes. Hope that helped!
