- The Georgia is absolutely too strong for tier 9, just like the Musashi. It comes packed with a whole set of gimmicks, french speedboost, massachusetts heal and secondaries, monstrous 457mm guns. It has some weaknesses though, like being surprisingly squishy and having a low health pool.

No joke, you can outrun Midway torps in this thing (ask me how I know, lol). I gifted one to a friend, and he played his first match in it while streaming - I literally was ROFL when he realized that he was outrunning his team's DD's, trying to run down the carrier at the end of the match.

@StahlBlitz That's one of the best uses of Georgia. It's almost like it has a warp drive, so you can just rush in, cause the enemy to panic, and if the rest of the enemy starts firing at you, they tunnel vision and expose themselves to crossfire.

If you've ever watched a full secondary meme Georgia in game, it looks like they're spraying a water hose at their target, there's so many shells in the air from the secondarys. If you use the Slot 6 module for secondary reload, BFT, and the flag, the reload is down to 2.7 seconds before AR even kicks in. This, and Manual Secondarys - rate of fire and accuracy - are what will make or break a secondary build - IFHE and DE won't do a damn bit of good if your shells aren't hitting the target - and even with only 5% base fire chance, as fast as you're throwing out shells, the simple Laws of Probability guarantee you'll end up starting fires, even if they don't pen and just shatter.
Before you rush out and buy this beast, be forewarned - just like the Massachusetts, this beast takes a high skill point USN captain to really be effective - at least 14 points if you want to do a basic secondary meme build, a 19 pointer if you want to bring out it's full potential.
if not take manual secondaries and take demolition expert, you can make fire much better, because you fire from both sides and hit different places at enemy ship.
and this ship didn't need better accuracy, i try both build and chance to hit moving target didn't increase with manual secondaries.

i rand down 3 destroyers that were trying to flee in this thing they could not get away from the secondaries and i was gaining on them it was pretty fun to watch them die a horrible death one after the other
Gw should've split the us bb line from colo to either nc or Massachusetts for t8 and georgia for t9 and ohio for t10.
There could easily be alternate US line from tier 4 and onwards. Florida at T4, pre-refit of Nevada at T5, Pennsylvania at T6, NC preliminary design at T7, SoDAK design at T8, and then some watered down Tillmans at T9 and T10.
Washington was the sister to NC and would make a great split line starting point imo.

If I see a pushing GA in my cruisers, I basically run away.
One time (when I first got the USS Seattle) on "Tears of the Cruisers", there was a triple GA division and they pushed an entire flank with cruiser support. It took us over half the game to kill all 3 for them.

Great review as usual Flamu, and I'm eagerly waiting for that blind firing guide (hopefully it will include aiming using the minimap and last known position markers/aiming circle). However I 'd take RPF instead of consealment because Georgia can also easily use that fantastic spood beast to quickly disengage and RPF combined with Priority Target is very useful when you're playing solo.
Georgia was probably strengthened as part of the Azur Lane Collab, since she came out on WoWs and Azur Lane at the same time

Like, the concealment is really good, so you can sneak up on people, yet even going as close as 7 Km, broadside target, you still only get 2/6 hits.
and the pen. power aint even that good since british AP.
And Georgia she didn't have spood beast or 40s heals like Gascoigne and secondary god like her in WoWs which mean GEORGIA her self in AL is only about 40% of her real power

Memes aside, I like this ship and it’s design. It subverts expectations for the meta. It’s a six gun BB with secondaries. It shouldn’t work on paper. But it does.
Its what Gneisenau makes strong, speed Secondarys but it misses the gimmicks

Georgia is a monster, very accurate and fast, heals are nice also secondarys, damn its so good

Is the speed boost module still the recommended pick? It appears to not be +50% anymore but "only" +30% and damage prevention modules do seem a little more important in my eyes with the increasing HE spam and with just how relatively squishy the Georgia is.

Flamu, one iitem you had mentioned on your stream but I didn't hear in this video. Going with your suggested build you could transfer Halsey to all Premium Ships and a main silver (Montana) and basically have one commander for many US Premium BBs and a single Silver BB without penalty. Thanks always for your insight.

can we have this dispersion on Gneisenau ? i mean Gneisenau have only 6 guns too :b . . . damn i mean hitting 4 shell with just the front turret ? on Gneisenai i probably only hit 2 shell if lucky or just miss all of them :(
I found Gneisenau accuracy least irritating in comparison with other bbs in line. Now i have Bismark and you know i miss my sweet fast and agile Gneis with some torps as a least resort :D
@@petrasb1 Because Gneisenau is the best battleship in the entire line especially since the IFHE rework (buffed the 128mm secondaries) when you get the B-hull. The speed is amazing (the fastest by far, you lose speed going up the tiers), having torpedoes is amazing (which you lose going to the Bismarck and up), the gun caliber and frontal firepower is the same as the Bismarck (you get an extra back turret which is much less useful than front turrets because you can't fire it while angled), the secondaries pen 32 mm since the IFHE rework (the best secondary arsenal tier for tier and only slightly beaten overall by the Kurfurst at tier X) and it has good AA (the best AA tier for tier in the entire tree). It's also smaller which helps taking less hits. Better concealment too which helps closing in.
Bismarck, Friedrich and Kurfurst are all inferior to it. If you ajusted the HP and secondary range, you could literally put it at tier 8, 9 or 10. With this change, Gneisenau would win a 1v1 vs all 3 of those ships. Kurfurst with 3 guns per turrets might win however (but the torpedoes and speed might allow Gneisenau to push in and torp the Kurfurst) since the 26 mm frontal part is a weakness. It just sucks you can't run the Auxilary Armament module (slot 6) on that thing because the AA at tier 7 would obliterate planes and so would the secondaries even with the low range.
I think of Georgia as if Iowa and a French BB had a baby. Flimsy, but it's very fast and changes flanks no problem, and strong's guns/secondaries.
Guys help me please, im planning to buy my first coal ship for only credit farming that i don't care it is OP nor good in clan battles etc as long as it is earning good credits while i have very serious problem playing with paper cruisers so Smolensk and Salem are not for me i think but if they are earning good i can buy them. I really like heavy cruisers such as i just love Yorck but it looks like Yoshnino is not heavy enough for T10 that i don't want to getting citadeled from every angle!! So it looks like my only options are Thunderer, Georgia or that boring ship while i really like Georgia play here but it looks like it has T8 BB hull which gets citadeled from stupid angles that i can't remember how many times i cursed while playing with Carolina so i guess i will buy Thunderer even if it has a similar weak hull. I wish there was still Musashi that i would buy without thinking a second...
By the way i have Kidd to farm credits but compared to new T8 dds and buffed ones like Japanese ones it is so underpowered i feel like im getting uptiered in every single match with her joke torpedos, joke dispersion and joke fire chance..

get both start with the Thunderer both are alot of fun Gerorgia not enough gun barrels . Is ok a glass cannon you have to play very carefull . all the video are full of shit on u tupe. My brother has the thunderer and we play together It does a good job......

If you honestly think kidd is weak maybe just play more dd for a while because honestly you have so many tools in the kidd that you can adapt to every situation so its a verry consistent ship. Not for ridiculous dmg numbers but consistent in its impact and earnings. Also its one of the easiest dds to stay alive in at t8 with its amazing smoke a heal and even def aa you should have no problem staying alive for most of the match.
@@ijhsa7452 It is true Kidd can do a lot of things unlike many dds but the problem is Kidd can't do any of them well!! Torpedos are total jokes unless very close range as even BBs are easily dodging 55 kn torpedos, because dispersion is extremely bad you can't really smoke fire and also their fire chance is extremely low (Counted +100 shots on a BB without a single fire!!) so smoke isn't very useful neither. When Defensive AA was good it was deleting planes very easily but now it's AA isn't that good neither so it's only true advantage is heal that you must rush other DDs early on which is what im doing but DDs with buffed guns like Japanese DDs with their twin gun turrets have much much better dispersion so fighting against them is just painful even with the heal as they are landing hits easily while you are most hitting the sea!! From what you wrote i think you don't have a Kidd or you didn't play with it recently due it is really struggling mate, still i have 1 million+ credit matches with it so i can't say it is not earning credits but every match is another challenge..

old school brawling is dead. unfortunately. i have 2+ years of brawling, and now with the current meta i use a hybrid build, i leave out range skill in all my secondary ships now cuz no ship will be pushing into you for the first 10min of the match, they want you to push into them to burn you down first so they gonna stay 12km away and run if you push, so i go priority target, adrenaline rush, secondary reload mods and skills, do not get the range skill, it’s a waste of skill points now. it’s better to catch them off guard at 9.4km than to chase them as you get targeted with HE spam. these ships are still beastly but honestly all secondary ships were nerfed with the update

Well, you said u like fast BBz, this is the ultimate one. I got the Thunderer 2 weeks ago, Georgia when she came out. I feel like if im playing a dd, its that fast.! I have Halsey on her, makes the turrets turn like the Soviets, and can switch ammo type in an instance. I play with reload mod, useful in close fights, when u can pump volleys out faster. And have manual secondaries. The Thunderer also agile, turning quick and sharp, she is also soft, the guns are similar accurate, or maybe even more. But Georgia has the improved U. S. AP pen angles, thats why she feel better. Both have the same quick reload. Thunderer have british HE, which is so useful against bow on BBz, so both her AP and HE is fantastic. And has very good concealment. And def. AA fire. She has much more firepower than Georgia, i have much better avg damages in her. But Georgia is more fun i think. Due to the speed, you can do so many tricks, i found her so good in going drive by against the likes of Musashi, you go in in a flash and blow him up before he can turn his turrets.
I'd get Georgia just because Thunderer and Conqueror are a lot alike.

Bit random, but how do you think a ship with nine Thunderer 457mm guns, sixteen 152mm guns, and 457mm of turret front armour, 381mm of angled belt armour and 200mm of deck armour that's only capable of 23 knots would do in this game lol? Depending on the general stats they gave it, it could go at tier 10 or tier 9 but I'm not sure how awful such a slow speed would be at these tiers tbh. With such slow speed it might motivate wg to make it a complete tank of a ship as far as plating is concerned (which is basically all that matters as far as armour is concerned) :^)

Thunderer has fast rudder shift, but its as squishy as conkek. Without the super heal, u arent exactly hard to kill
In fact its one of the easiest t10 bb to take down in my opinion
Since u dont have spood beest to run away its going to be quite frustrating if u are getting spammed
if u dont flank enemies and u dont find a friendly BB to tank for or tank with u, u wont be able to do much in the battle
The one and only thing we play Thunderer for is its great guns, 8x457 with improved accuracy just like the georgia

Although tbf I took Superintendent because who doesn't love more healing and speed boost...
Note: I think with just the secondary upgrades and AFT you get 11.3km Secondary range and with the great arc those guns have you get use out of them basically every game (if you're playing a little more aggressive rather than more passive). If you can get things like IFHE and Manual fire control those secondaries will absolutely SHRED DD's and even Cruisers to an extent.

I got the Ohio, and it's just pure fun if you don't mind a slow (29.5kt with speed flag) battleship. Although it does have around a 14.9s ruddershift.

I fought 2 of these and a Bismark full health in a Smolensk from 13 down to 7 kl. By that time they died with me at 200,000 dmg in 4 min, 3/4 health left. Granted, I had a BB helping with the first Georgia. With half match left I end 6 kills, 300,000 dmg. The last Georgia I brawled in the open a few salvos at 7 kl, it's repair and secondaries a non factor at 7 kl. Not seeing it much 5 months post review. Thunderer would have ended me at 13 kl and won that match. Georgia is a redundant, squishy, lesser choice.

WG seem to think a low health pool or paper armor balances a lot of gimmicks. There's a limit to that.

How does Georgia compare to Ohio? I keep hearing it's just a T10 version but is it really?
Only one of our clan mates has one and he isn't the most objective about it.
Feels very different type of game play. Ohio is slow af and hard to get into secondary range and even harder to get out of trouble if you over extend. Georgia just hits turbo and gets out trouble rather fast. The only thing they really have in common are the guns and heal.
Ohio lacks the speed boost and like 3 knots slower but that's it

@@richieThach I think its 5knots since Georgia is 33knots without speed boost while Ohio is only 28knots.
If they do cruiser buffs hopefully the Pensacola will be on that list. That damn ship receives citadel hits no matter what angle you are. You could even be upside down with just the hull above water and still receive a citadel hit.
Just got the Georgia and I agree that it is better than the JB. I had JB for couple months now. What Georgia is really good at is getting away from HE spammers quickly with the speed boost. JB can't really do this and in a meta where HE spammers strive, I'd say it is a decisive advantage.
So the next HE super spamming light cruiser will be USS Sherman. Something to burn Georgia. ;)

@@ijhsa7452 When i saw 6 guns for a first time i was ready to skip it with freexp but after I played few games i was surprised how accurate is this thing.Maybe RNGesus is with me but after few battles im still over 80k average dmg and its freaking crazy actually

PLEASE HELP. People said this thing was like a Massachusetts but it isnt. I am WAAAAAYYYYY better with Massachusetts than with Georgia. This thing gets blapped so easily from literally every angle. Its speed is nice to get the fuck out of dodge but flanking is pretty much never an option because of DDs and CVs. The guns almost always overpen on anything that isnt a German BB.
