Idk why the Raiders haven't even interviewed Liam Coen for HC. Tom is a Bucs legend and they just hired Spytek who was with the Bucs. Coen was 3rd in total yards, 3rd in passing, 4th in rushing in the regular season. There is no other team that finish top 5 in those 3 categories. Not even Ben Johnson. And he did that with Baker Mayfield!! And a rookie RB and a aging Mike Evans. Raiders need to interview and hire him. Keep Rob Leonard at DC.

That should tell you that they think he’s still unproven. His other OC job was underwhelming with the Rams. Another good year then he’ll be a hot candidate everywhere
True but he got to play in a very weak division. Had 6 games against 3 weak defenses.

@jayfairman3570 I'm not saying he is, but Baker bounced around the league until he got with Coen. I would give Coen with most of the credit for Baker success.

Now getting Spytek I see a clear opening in getting Kingsbury the Raiders hiring committee should approve an Offensive HC Kingsbury, Monken, Joe Brady. Offer Kingsbury a new QB Sam Darnold or Cousins. Draft QB Dart for the future.

i really just want to understand the narrative. We let Telesco go because it was a good idea to have the Coach and GM brought on same time time so the coach doesnt feel like hes walking into a situation where someone else is already established, make them more comfortable. Now, a week later, after failing to get Ben, all of the sudden its OK to hire GM first and "we have our guy" with no coach yet. What was the point? What is all this spinning the media trying to pull? We arent fools, dont try to trick us

Understandable. Telesco should have never been hired. Sanjit would have done as well in the draft! He just uses draft math. Gruden doesn’t. Telesco never trades. Poor in free agency and HC. OUT! I heard he go mouthy with Brady. “I been doing this longer than you” essentially. Not going to say that these moves are absolutely gonna hit home runs, but you’ve got to lay this foundation for a team to be aggressive to win now and sustain winning and you can’t compete in a division if you don’t have a quarterback, and you don’t pick the groceries that your head coach needs to succeed Who gives a crap about three first round picks if we could’ve traded it up and gotten Jaden Daniels yes the rumor is he wasn’t available, but we could’ve traded up at least and got Michael Penix but he thought these pics were gonna drop to him and so he just used his board And unfortunately signed Gardner Minshew in free agency let Josh Jacobs Amik go and Greg Van Roten and replaced them with lesser players just like he did with the chargers, and the results were disastrous.
Nobody’s trying to trick you. It’s a tough business, Telesco didn’t do enough to keep his job. Paid Andre James, then drafted the center with the most penalties this year. Drafted a TE when we had one. Didn’t address RB, QB, or WR. And you guys are saying he didn’t deserve to be fired lol. He brought in a couple shiny new toys, didn’t deserve to keep his job.
@ but thats exactly my point. And belive me Im not bashing Q, hes my fav guy on this station. Great guy. My problem is they (reporters/writers) were telling us they fired the GM so that a new coach could have a say in the new GM and be a partnership. Now its reversed. We got the GM and nothing has been confirmed about coach yet. What happened other than we didnt get the guy we wanted, so now we spinning the narrative.

Nothing but retreads and old timers. The Brady effect stinks except for the GM hire. Hope he has an eye for HC talent along with on field talent.
