I'm someone who grew up with a mom who loved us very much, but was so overwhelmed and overworked that I mostly saw her frustrated, angry and in survival mode....it was unfair to her, but that's how life panned out. In light of that, I just want to say how lovely it was for me to see your child witnessing his mom joyful, light, feminine and enjoying her hobby. I aspire to be this kind of mom someday, if the Lord allows me the good fortune as He has allowed for you. 😊
This made my heart so happy - thank you. It encourages me so much. I too grew up with a mom who was both overwhelmed and overworked and in survival mode, as you put it. The best advice she gave me when I was pregnant with my first was to soak up every moment, even in the chaos. To be still and be present. That was her biggest regret - not doing those things. I carry that advice with me daily. 💛 And my advice to you is to include your children in your passions and interests as well as learning about theirs as they grow. It is a sweet opportunity for bonding and connection. 💖

The best special guests 😪 I've clearly been influenced by you and a few other YTers, a few of your favs are in my collection now too! Biggest compliment getters this summer: BR540, Idole Aura, Babycat, Pink Me Up, Féminin Pluriel, Burberry Goddess (I'm not sure if I'll repurchase the latter). I'm convinced the Florida heat and humidity makes it really difficult to distinguish or locate smells outside, all of my compliments I have gotten in air conditioned spaces or when we were visiting family in New England. BUT Idole Aura works great in the heat as you have discovered, and so does Sol Cheirosa 62 EDP 😊 Favourite discovery of the summer, albeit not for myself: House of Bo Casa Blanca. It smells very masculine to me, so I gave the travel size to my husband and it gives me all sorts of feelings 😆 Verrry sexy in the most understated, chic, approachable way.

@@nele9045 yes spray it on a friend and make them wear it around you. I did not think I liked Burberry Goddess at all till I smelled it “in the wild” many months ago. So then I had to have a travel spray. And I complimented at least four people this summer, not picking up that it was Burberry Goddess till they all told me. It has smelled differently on everyone! It smelled really kind of tropical on a girl walking by me at an outdoor restaurant, very spicy on a nurse in the ER, very soft and floral on another woman I was sitting next to at the park.

I have both versions of Mandarine Basilic and would say yes the Forte version is more suited to cooler weather as it doesn't have the sparkling light airy quality that makes the edt version so perfect for summer 😊

Oooooh I sampled that one at Neiman Marcus while in Orlando and LOVED it! It lasted on my skin and clothes well over 12 hours. My husband told me not to buy it since I have so many vanillas in my collection, but I wouldn’t be against a large decant. 😍

I've become very weary of the "big" fragrance influencers/reviewers as there seems to be a lot of overhype on mediocre fragrances, and just plain dishonesty from those who promote them. However, there are a few, you amongst them, that seem to be truth tellers and truly genuine. I love your unscripted reviews and having your sweet and silly littles on was delightful! Thank you for the fun review of your summer favorites. Mine were all over the place, but a couple that stand out are Ormonde Jayne Woman (more autumn/winter but don't care ~ I LOVE this so much), Amouage Love Mimosa, Prada Infusion de Mimosa, Ella K Reflet Sur L'Okavango (best discovery 2024), Givenchy Amarige, Lancome Poeme, and Zoologist Hummingbird. 🤍🤍🤍

Hummingbird is such a bright, happy fragrance that is mimosa, honeysuckle and honey dominant which sings in warm weather! I love it and encourage you to get a sample. I think I got my sample from Twisted Lily. ❤

My next to-do is a tagged video I’m about a month behind on 😂 and then I will film a transitional fragrance one at your request. 💛 But off the top of my head, I pull for Prada Paradoxe, Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance when it’s a cooler day, Burberry Goddess, Diptyque Eau Duelle edt, and both 7 Virtues Amber Vanilla and Candied Lychee. A mix of sweet perfumes and understated vanillas. 👌🏼
Your children are precious! ❤ Funny that you mentioned the Juicy Couture line. I sprayed on Viva la Juicy Gold Couture as my bedtime perfume right before you pulled the Sucre out. I have over 100 perfumes and it’s truly one of my favorites. Just very warm and cozy. You have a great summer faves list. I love Leisure in Paradise too! Oddly enough, with all of the fragrances I own I have never smelled a single Killian. No clue why. I need to get my nose on Good Girl Gone Bad. I also haven’t tried Celeste yet. Bianco Latte is one of my top 3 fragrances and I love Borabora as well so I need to at least sample Celeste.

Kilian fragrances definitely grew on me. And you may really enjoy Celeste because it has the same vanilla sugar base that’s in Bianco Latte. 😍

Reminded me of Penhaligon's Cousin Matthew that's now discontinued. 😢 And I loved that soapy green neroli scent. You never know about those compliments! Sometimes the sneaky ones are the most meaningful. My husband and I laugh that you see two types of families at Disney World - ones who are having the time of their lives, and the others who are absolutely miserable. 😂 We enjoy it and the magic with our kids tremendously. And YES bring on the crisp days. 🍁 We just had our “false fall” here in the south so now we have about 3 to 4 more weeks of fluctuating HOT temps before we get true fall.

Your kids are adorable. I havent tried Mandarine Basilic. But if you like citrusy, salt vanillas, I highly recommend Bosca Vanilla Forte.

Ah I love that!!!! I hope you enjoy it but I won’t be offended if you hate it. 😅 Yes they have made the bottles a little more sturdy on the bottom than before, but I still don’t trust it to not fall so I store it on its side or wedged between other bottles in a drawer.

I totally get it! I guess I don’t think of my channel as a “review” channel, but one to talk to others about perfume like we’re friends. They love being included in my interests and I love having that bond with them. It’s almost impossible for me to film without them nearby these days, and it’s not my nature to ask them to not interrupt me when I don’t see this as a formal outlet but a fun, informal one. That being said, I don’t plan on letting them be in many videos because yes, they are sweet little chaotic distractions. 😂
