The deadly shootout between a group of cash-in-transit robbers and police has yet again sparked outrage among residents and crime activists in Khayelitsha after the police confiscated fourteen unlicensed firearms believed to would have been used in the robbery of a security company on Monday night.
Police seized 14 firearm, including AK-47 rifles, R5 rifles, a R4 rifle and one Dashprod rifle, as well as four vehicles of which two had been linked to house robberies and hijackings in the area.
