Henzie deck tech reminds me of my favourite Megatron trick: put Sneak Attack into play, use it to cheat an artifact creature into play, shoot that creature with Megatron’s tank side
I REALLY hope you see this. When I first saw your nethroi build, I wasn't sure if I'd build it since I had already built a modified version of your polukranos build (btw thank you! You made me see how fun polukranos could be!). That being said, I had a Eureka moment this morning as I was sipping coffee looking over my pet decks. There is another secret commander you can include that is affordable and absolutely busted here if I'm not mistaken: Shirei, shizo's caretaker! Since your hydras have less then 1 power, they should be eligible for their ability. That means your big explosive turn in your playtest would keep happening over and OVER every single end step. Even without polukranos, she still will act as a dangerous engine that keeps grinding down your opponents!
Great decks! I love Henzie, but mine isn't all creatures. It kinda seems the key to resiliency is play black, lol. I have built some resilient decks without black, but it's definitely a helpful color for it.
I have a similar build with my Henzie and Umori deck! Besides mana dorks, Elvish Pioneer, Wild Cantor, Arboreal Grazer, Krosan. wayfarer, and Sakura Tribe Scout. The critical mass gets me really consistent early turns and with a deck otherwise being mostly 4+ creatures that blitz, having Gilded Goose and Birds of Paradise to block is useful on an otherwise small line of defence after blitzing an Incinerator Of The Guilty and people want to attack me 😅
There's a pretty decent card thatakes it where flying creatures can't attack you and you make a 5/5 at the beginning of you endstep, sandwurm convergence. And a different green enchament that gives all your creatures reach, assemble the entmoot. Pretty dope cards in green to help against flyers
Henzie is so good. In my pod my Henzie deck is respected, not because its higly optimized, but it just never stops throwing big bad boys on to the battlefield, reanimating stuff, drawing cards. Its a fun and resilient deck. One thing Henzie has that other decks don't have is he costs you more for each time he gets removed, BUT you get more discounts on your creatures. He kind of "scales" into mid/lategame, while other commanders stay the same.
Im noticing a theme with reanimator decks. Here is your friendly reminder to run graveyard hate. Its not that hard. They are often cheap (cmc and $$$) powerful hate and do somthing else other than just hate on graves. For example armored scrapgorger provides ramp and relic of progenitus cantrips.
@@decktechsfordecks I agree you can even run an infinite mana combo but if you don’t draw cards you can only use the mana on what you have on that turn and rarely would that win you the game unless you have some outlet on purpose

Infinite mana doesn’t win you the game but drawing your deck does if that makes sense.
