I love how you will be talking as your working, then all of a sudden you start whispering, like you don't want to wake the card up, or your trying to sneak up on your card, LOL. So fun to watch. I also love the soft gentleness of your Rainbow colors.
I learn so much from your talking to yourself/us. I knew it should be gold not silver glitter paper but I didn't know why. Generally I much prefer silver. But you muttered "warm colors, warm part of color wheel" and I suddenly knew why. So cool to understand when I'm operating on instinct. It'll help in tons of borderline situations. You good teacher, mum!
So cute! Love your color choices in creating the radiating rays. I absolutely love sentiment dies that have shadow dies! Shadow pieces allow your sentiment to pop/stand out, especially against a patterned background. Thanks Cathy! I learn so much listening to you discuss your choices and why you do things a certain way. So informative!
I love this card. I have long been doing angled sentiments... not because of the drama... but glad to learn to learn that's a thing... but because I struggle to get things straight. The struggle is real. You're the highlight of my day.
I adore your videos. I always learn something, I catch inspiration and excitement bugs, and I always laugh along with you. Thank you for investing in my crafty journey!
I think I’ve been watching too much RuPaul’s Drag Race because I all could think of was... “Welcome to the stage, Glittertittle” 🤣 Great card! Looked like the top of a tent made with sheer fabrics. So beautiful!
Your. nails match the card!!! So pretty & endless possibilities with that stencil so I ordered it.Thanks for a weekend video. You are always so entertaining!!
The only problem I have with watching your videos is that you make it so exciting I want to start stamping....NOW. I have to hold those horses back till the end of the video, but the anticipation makes me crazy!!!
Cathy when I saw that stencil I thought "naw" but YES! you have more talent in your baby finger than a handful of great card makers. thanks once again for the drool. bahaha
Cathy, as another person with wrist problems, I bought the Empress recently. Yes, I have the Gemini too. I got really tired of the plates and magnet, shim needing to be replaced. I’ve got to say I am really impressed with the Empress. You turn it on place the die in the opening and it tractor feeds it into your machine. No fighting the plates to fit in, so far, no warping of the plates. And...the magnetic plate really is magnetic! You don’t have to tape your dies! The magnetic plate does get ‘chewed up’ with use. Anna Griffin has ‘refurbished’ machines for $130.00 on their website. I still have the Gemini I can use, but I think in the long run this will be a better tool. I bought Pink Fresh ink pads recently and noticed when stamping a solid stamp grainy look, I used my misty and restamped repeatedly, but still didn’t get solid stamping. Suggestions? Do you have a favorite ink?
I saw Jennifer McGuire rate that machine VERY highly! Are your Pinkfresh pads dry at all? I haven't had that with mine. Have you ever tried Gina K inks? They are probably my fave, but I have been using them longer than any others. They have a smoothing agent and seem to smooth out more when they dry.
I don’t think my ink pads are dry, but the dye inks are pretty new to me! I’m a quilter, and years ago started scrapbooking and used pigment inks so they could print permanently on fabric. Yes, I saw that same video from J. McGuire! That’s what sold me! Well, actually using it has made me love it. Have you ever thought about a video about budgeting for the stuff we buy? It can get out of hand quickly. I’m retired, on S.S., so the $ replenishment is pretty slow! Does Simon always have their biggest release in September? Congratulations to your husband on a very tough year of teaching. I have a number of teachers in the family, and you have to really love it to make it a career. I’m praying this next year can be easier, and the kids can catch up quickly🤞. You don’t have to comment back. You must get jillion’s of comments,
Cathy-you are such a joy to listen to and watch while you create fun and beautiful art! Thank you for sharing your joy and wonderful ideas for creating:)
You talking about your tweezers reminded me that I need to clean mine with goo gone to keep them clean. The other day you were using scor tape and talking about cutting it when so many tear it. I’m the same way as you but found that if I use my inch square acrylic block which has a sharp edge I get a good clean tear. These blocks were the first I purchased at a craft show down in Denver and this seller had her husband cut them and she sold them in a set. They are about 3/4in deep. The two I use the most are the little one and the large on that is about the size of aa A2 card front
Cathy , your card is lovely. I’m really into stenciling at the moment also. It’s fast and you get stunning results just like you. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.❤️🥰🌈
That card is so adorable. I kind of freak when I see stencils with rays on them because I never know how to visualize the finished product. Thanks for the ideas.
ADORABLE CARD !!! I love everything about it, the colors of the rays, the glitter sentiment, the opposite slants on the sentiments, it all worked great together. No surprise here, I LOVE the "Pink Sands" on your nails too !!! Just once I would like to watch a video that I don't care for your nail color but thus far their always gorgeous and look so good. Inquiring minds have a need to know . . . . do you have every O&J color and what are your top 3 favorite colors.
Okay, so I don't have EVERY color. Close, but not quite. And as of today… my top three are: Pink Sands (it really is a classic color, and so neutral really!), CV (the perfect red and it paints like a dream!) and number three… hmmm. As of today? Probably Angelfish. I'm into the blues! And of the new Summer Collection? Cherry Crush 100%!
@@czdesign, THANK YOU so much for sharing your "current" faves. I am a newbie (thanks to you, and I mean that seriously, I'm loving their products, I'm just irritated at myself that I didn't JUMP the first time I heard you speak of them on one of your videos. I'm starting to think there is something addicting in the polish, the more I get, the more I want. I have a wish list and thus far I mark some off (by mark off I mean order them) and then I add more to the list. If crafting supplies weren't bad (and addicting) enough now it's O&J polish, good thing those are my only vices . . oh and purses, I love a good looking bag but haven't succumbed to that one for a long while, perhaps I'm cured (haha). Thanks again, you're a doll.
Despite your “questionable moves in the crafting world,” you have an amazing track record of creating beautiful cards. Like, every one. I love this card, and I do like the gold glitter. Funny you mentioned having two tweezers. I was just noticing this morning that mine need replacing, so now I’ll save them as junk tweezers.
I had my doubts in the beginning about using glitter card stock for the sentiment…but I should have known better. ☺️ You did it AGAIN, another sweet and charming card.
Love all your videos and projects, but mostly love your honesty, in this occasion it is about the magnets on the stamping platform, as i was sooo wondering if i could really ink stencils without holding the paper or stencils... Thx!!!!
To clean your yucky tweezers use hand sanitizer it will remove the stickiness, after you rub the area a couple of times. You can also use this tip for removing tree sap, on your car along with a paper towel covered old gift card. It might a take a couple of applications, and it's better if you let it sit there for a few minutes.
Keeping white in the design was a great really did pull it all together. The delicate script in gold glitter cut well - wasn't sure the weight of the glitter paper would be good with such thin script for die cutting - what brand was the glitter paper or what weight?
I've never done any stenciling but you have given me inspiration to grab that stencil & stamp set and give it a try. I will need some ink pads too, oh my!! You (almost) never put anything inside, though. I would have a tough time figuring out how to liven up the inners.
Another great creation Cathy: love your new release on SSS. So when I see a video with your designs - does mean it is you as an affiliate or the person doing the video?
I am an affiliate for Simon Says Stamp so… when I point you from my supply lists, I get a small percent of commission. It's kind of how I make money on RUclips!
I love everything about this card! There are so many options with this stencil. QUESTION: Where do you purchase the angled brush you use for sweeping away excess embossing powder before using the heat gun?
That was part of a pretty inexpensive brush kit from Blick Art! I always forget to link it: Princeton Select Value Brush Sets #21 Find it here: ldli.co/e/94r7kz

Absolutely gorgeous card! Perfect the way it is…the glitter is all the bling needed!!!
That’s the best glitter tittle I have ever seen.
Why thank you!
Cathy this card is just simply YUMMY! Period!

Cathy, I enjoyed watching you create this card. The rainbow colours are always a winner. Thanks so much. 😊
My NEW favorite card!!! It makes me so happy!
TY Cathy!

Thanks for your fun videos Kathy. I would listen to you teach anything! You are fun!
Oh thank you!
I love everything you do but I particularly appreciate the different backgrounds you tackle...I learn so much from you! Thank-you so much.
Awesome! Thank you!
I love this card. I have long been doing angled sentiments... not because of the drama... but glad to learn to learn that's a thing... but because I struggle to get things straight. The struggle is real. You're the highlight of my day.
Oh there is drama in design when you use angles!
I love it! One of things I love about your cards is your choice of colors. You have a great eye!!
Thank you so much!
Great stencil, and love your design !! 🌍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🌍

What a simple yet beautiful card! You are so creative!

Very pretty card. Thank you for sharing 😊🤗
Soft and calming.
So pretty! Rubbing alcohol will clean glue off your reverse tweezers. That’s what I use to clean my tools including my stamp positioner. ❤️😊🇨🇦
Ohhh Never thought of that!

It really is!
LOVE this card!!! GREAT job with the rays!! 💕

I love it, such a beautiful card Cathy.

Love it...inspired to do portrait style card with center circle to the left. Leaving rays going across the right.
Thanks for the inspiring video! The card is so lovely, will have to get the sentiments from Waffle Flower. Love using the Make Art magnetic pad too!

Would love to have all these,
Gorgeous! This card would make anyone smile!
I had to stop watching Rafa Nadal to watch this demo - glad I did. Lovely card Cathy.
So pretty!
Thank you! 😊
I would have suggested silver glitter if you used cooler colors, though a copper glitter would have been striking, even warmer than the gold!
I booped for you when you did the tittle. Cutie card....thank you.
That card is so adorable. I kind of freak when I see stencils with rays on them because I never know how to visualize the finished product. Thanks for the ideas.
You can do it!
Awesome card!
Thanks a bunch!
Hello there, Catzster!
Your nicknames crack me up!
I was looking for a way to get the Z in there.
Love the card but even happier to hear you aren’t a hoity-toity paper waster! 😂
Lol!
Love it!

Love those colors! That is a great stencil!
Well done, MacZielske, love it!
Thank you kindly!
Very cute card. I struggle with stacking sentiments. I love the look of them but I can't get them stacked nicely on top of one another.
I have most definitely gotten better at it! Trust me, you'll get it!
I LOVE this card Cathy. So pretty!

The stuff that REALLY holds a stencil to paper? Pixie Spray. But I am out of it!
