Dude imagine if we had saved all our old trucks we’d have some real value!! Hate the new tacomas the brand new ones look like crap!! Great driving! Great rundown of what you’ve done and why!!
Yeah, me trading my 4Runner in was THE highlight of my financial mistakes of the 90's. I like my 2018 but, I totally agree. I wish my dad would have kept his '89 SR5 and tricked it out as a hobby. I inherited his '06 but sold it. I just wish they'd come back out with a solid front axle truck for US again. The LC79 still can't be bought here!
Yeah right now my “family” hauler is a 06 sequoia which I def like the 06 and older full size yotas, had the 4 door tundra 05, which was super cool sequoia has 248,000 right now. My fav vehicle of Al time really is that older Sr5 or even older, I will say I do love my giant 04 Chevy 2500 4door flatbed but it’s for work and homework. Way more rigs need solid front axles. Love looks of that new scout I’ve seen.
I traded my '03 Tundra in on a 2017 Tacoma access cab. Only a 4cyl and no cruise control or intermittent wipers! WTF Toyota! SO i traded that in a couple years later on my 2018. It's loaded. They sold it to me as having a rear locker and it in fact does not.
Thanks! Those are 1" from RC4WD - I think they're called "Competition Beadlocks" and they made two different ones. One has only pins on the back and the others use the standard 7mm hex.
May i ask is this the ir60 for the scx24 or the trx4m because i heard you mention your wheelbase is 155mm which is the wheelbase of the trx4m ir60 and scx24 ir60 wheelbase is 133mm but your wheelbase looks like its lined up perfectly. So confused to what ir60 body you used as i want to put the scx24 ir60 on my gladiator wheelbase and was wondering if it would look okay
So, I built it kind of wrong for the body. It's for the Deadbolt link setup. It needs a short front and and I used JLU links. So it pushed the front end a little. Since I also used some custom titanium high clearance links out back, it actually set the rear wheels a little too far forward. It wasn't climbing as well as it could. I sat down two days ago and swapped out the links for some longer custom ones and still have not tested it. Currently, wheelbase is at 143mm. I must have mismeasured and had some number on my mind. I just remeasured and it looks like I adjusted it out to 143mm. I think at the time of this video it must have been around 138mm.
Another clean build, and looking at the time, a delightful bedtime story. Thanks!
Thank you! Yeah, they got me with the 1/8 version of this and then suddenly this cute little thing pops up!
Great work, awesome truck and drive! 👍 👍 👍
Thank you! It's a fun little truck!
Yeah, you got the voice for it for sure 👊🏻
Ha! Thanks, as always!
That thing is a beast! I’ve got that exact same body on my Amazon wishlist!
Super fun little rig. You should definitely grab that body kit and get one done up! I decided to throw the bed panels on and it looks pretty good!
Nice build 🤙
Thank you and thanks for watching!

Are them 1.3 rims. I really like them. The whole truck is nice looking.
