good idea, but I have learned over the years that tops are not always straight at thr top edge, so I've been basting the quilt top below the top border at the seam with a longer stitch, and once that is done I go back and baste the top edge where ever it lies knowing that the top is straight. since doing this I have been getting much better results. I remove the first basting before quilting.
Thank you for your video. I hope someday I will have room for a long arm. I have enjoyed all of your working vacation videos. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Clever idea to put the channel lock on the closer wheels. Mine is in the rear and I have to use a long piece of wood to lock the clamp down. I’m curious why you didn’t use the baste feature on the machine head instead of regulated precise?
Clever idea indeed! I also baste my quilts this way because the basting feature on QCT bastes at 7 stitches per inch and my Qnique 15R will baste at 4 stitches per inch which I like better.
basting quilts for sit down quilters is a opportunity for longarmers and their friends. perhaps you can trade basting for help with binding, cutting, or piecing. it's a helpful feature of the system.
Thank you. I have other questions, I noticed your tablet was not plugged to the USB at the top, where do you have yours plugged in? Can you show a picture of your cord management? Also, Where did you get your thread holder on the wall?
Thank you or the lesson. Wheredid you get the flower pin for youm scissors? Hope your still having a good vacation, I have been with you on your trip. Tell Keith he is a good driver and hello
I was thinking about linking to the magnet below the video but I can't remember where it's from. It's imprinted on the back of the magnet and we not home yet. :) When we get home, I'll update the description box of the video with the info.
Bring VERY new at all of this, the process of bringing the bobbin thread up for this and for appliqué is confusing to me…! What is the reason for that process?
Welcome home!

What a great idea! I'm going to give that a try too. Thank you!! (Because sometimes my tops are not always straight either. lol)
Can't take credit for idea, Corey with Linda's Electric Quilters suggested it. Just passing on a great idea. Corey is exceptional!
@@cherylcurlee3279 Thanks for sharing Corey's idea (love him and Dianna). I'll try this too :)
WOW.
That is so beyond me, but I do love watching you play!
That’s how I load my Handi Quilter also.

Thanks for the tip. Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed all your quilt shop interviews on your vacation.
Thanks Teresa! We're not home yet. More shop visits to come!
Great information! You are very talented at giving information in a way people can understand.
Good to know. Love these little tips!
I love the centering tape on the bar. that is helpful to keep quilts straight when you are floating the quilt top.
Thank You so this video was a lot of help.
Hope you had a great vacation!!!
We're still on the road. :) I shot this before we left.
@@PowerToolsWithThread keep the quilt shop videos coming

To me, it's just easier to set the stitches to 5 per inch and do it that way.
Clever idea indeed!

It's so you don't have any knots on the back of your quilt. :)
I had to let you know that I ordered a quilton magazine….
Yay! That's a great way to get familiar with the industry. :)
