This remaster and modlist is designed to enhance the vanilla Skyrim experience while maintaining the look, feel, and aesthetic of the original game. The only real departure from vanilla is the addition of the Great Whiterun Forest, which transforms the tundra outside Whiterun into a dense and expansive forest. The ENB can be changed to suit a darker, colder, or more fantasy-like experience, but I feel that Silent Horizons largely maintains the feel of vanilla Skyrim.

I love the melancholy feel to this - Skyrim always feels like going home
There’s not a game out there, that will ever hit like Skyrim did. Game was so far ahead of games. And it was so unique, calming with a massive amount of lure. They also use certain frequencies in their music, that make the game that much more addicting..I have thousands of hours in this game since it came out. Crazy after 10yrs, they couldn’t make something like this but better. When the next elders scrolls like Skyrim comes out, I doubt we will have the opportunity for to play it. This game was a more than a joy to play, was my first game I could really just immerse in and completely forget about life and for hours.. wild game.

@@swordandearth4847I get where you’re coming from, but there’s just something about it that always brings me back. I could not play Skyrim for 6 months and then one day just hop right back in as if I never stopped playing to begin with. Especially with mods, it makes parts of the story like the civil war and the parthunax dilemma that much better. I can’t put my finger on any specific thing about it but Skyrim is my favorite video game. It probably always will be

I'm 69 years old and play it often.i had a stroke 2016 and learned from young relatives.i got my sight back

I was thinking about this just yesterday, skyrim feels like home, or like going home for some people. I understand that there are better games out there, better combat, better storytelling, etc. The witcher is a great example of this, but skyrim just feels different, it is and always will be "home" for me

The souls games have always been my comfort game. Even when I want to chuck my controller, not the point. Skyrim has always been tied for first. Going into those nights in Skyrim, exploring the new, open world was so much fun. Well, I must bid farewell. If you read this comment, don’t give up. People care about you.
I used to consistently fall asleep in my pause menu in Skyrim. I would catch myself nodding off as I was playing, sometimes during the day, and it would put me in such a state of peace I would just give in. I'd always sleep so soundly with the music in the background...man this brings back some memories.
Seems as though no matter how much time passes, Skyrim will always hold a special place for all of us in one way or another ❤️ rest easy weary adventurers

The atmosphere of Skyrim is incredible, truly a masterpiece, and surely one of the best games of all time!
Skyrim mixes just hit this spot in my core that I can't explain. Somehow, it makes chores and cooking less tiresome while making the world quite but full.

I have no clue why but I almost cried watching this, maybe I'm nostalgic, maybe the last time I played this was a better time, or maybe this is just the way it's supposed to make you feel, either way I regret not having a console or PC to play this on.
The combination of rain and thunder is like a natural symphony that brings a sense of peace and harmony. Truly a work of art for the ears.
I turn this on when I need to get stuff done always keeps me happy. When I was a kid I’d go to the taverns and just sit and “ eat sweet rolls” while I’d ask the lute player to play a song
When I was young, I always watched my Older Brother play Skyrim. Sometimes it was funny when he faced the enemies and other times it was so peaceful when he was exploring especially with the music. Such a peaceful music to sleep to

Esse jogo salvou a minha vida. Me confortou durante as mais profundas depressões que eu passei. Literalmente salvou a minha vida, pois nas horas que aquela desejo explodia no coração eu ligava meu PS3 e esquecia o mundo real por horas. Durante a depressão pós parto eu deitava no sofá, colocava o bebê no seio e ali ficava horas jogando enquanto a música embalava o bebê. Quando eu olhava pela janela e os pensamentos suicidas vinham eu segurava a manete com força, entrava no jogo e ficava parada na beira de algum rio ouvindo a água bater ou subia numa montanha pra ouvir a neve soprar no vento. Cruzei Skyrim diversas vezes sem fazer uma missão sequer, so pra ver a paisagem escutar a música. Com esse jogo eu superei um relacionamento abusivo, uma depressão pós parto. Com esse jogo eu conheci pessoas, fiz amigos que são os mais importantes hoje pra mim. Sou apaixonada num homem que esse jogo me trouxe. Meu melhor amigo conheci num grupo sobre Skyrim. Eu trabalho ouvindo essa trilha sonora, eu estou fazendo meu próprio shrine de Dibella na argila. Eu vivo e respiro esse jogo. E ele continua salvando minha vida

@@patatedouceyaim1407 enderal is a full conversion mod for skyrim , in short its a complete game separate from the skyrim lore , yet utilizes all the assets and even loads of new assets with the help of mods , its the only way to experience a true new version of skyrim but not skyrim :P its awesome , I've got 350+ hours in it and haven't even got 100% cheevos on it yet! well worth it , its free :) if you think you'd be interested make sure to follow a well liked youtube tutorial on how to get it set up , all you will need is skyrim and the dlcs. have a good day!

i got bullied a lot in grade school, and back in fourth grade my dad bought skyrim for me. it was such a refuge to feel so important for once. i never felt that way about another game ever again and i wish i could go back to the very first time i played. i’ll be 17 in a month

I really appreciate channels like yours, thank you! I can get my daily dose of Skyrim without playing it. I never finished Skyrim and i keep postponing it every year, i thought i will play it this autumn and winter but it's not the right time, so again i have to postpone it until after the summer. I can't wait to play it! I've been postponing it for about 2 years now, this will be 3rd year.

Just imagine standing on the peak of the worlds highest mountain and feeling the cold air bite your lungs.
I would also advise you to put a low pass filter on a rain, so it feels more comfortable, as if you were inside a house listening to the outside environment and enjoying this music

To echo what has already been said - the point of this video was to be outdoors. You may have also noticed the sound of wind, birds, and the rustling of the trees that are in the video. If you want rain as it would sound indoors, I would recommend the video I released just prior to this one - I try to give people listening options since everyone has their own preferences.
