Everybody gets to be singers even if they aren't. The music world will be so saturated with fake singers that we could no longer distinguish if it was talent and humanly or some machines that has been doing all the singing and that really sucks. The value of the industry will plunge deeply. And that's really unhealthy for the music industries around the world and bad for the health of the music lovers.
Maybe it's because they're performing in South Korea? Kind of like how when some foreign acts try to speak Tagalog when they're performing in Manila. I think it's great to show effort, especially since they're guests.
