  • This is our 1 Year adult FIGURE SKATING Progress video!
    We have started ice skating as adults around this time last year, having never skated before. And here we are today, one year of figure skating later!
    Ever since we've started this adult figure skating journey we've been hearing that we are too old and too late to the party and that we won't get anywhere...
    So, we're here to tell you - it's NEVER too late to start ice skating or whichever other hobby you've always dreamt to pursue!!!
    Huge thank you to our coaches Dmitry Dun, David Aretz and Calla Urbanski for getting us here!
    Whether you are a seasoned figure skater or just now learning how to ice skate, we hope this video brings up some memories from your own figure skating journey!

    // OUR STORY
    We're professional dancers who decided to try something new. Figure skating is usually perceived as a kid's activity and often adults feel like it's too late for them to start.
    We decided to ditch this notion and prove with our example that it's never too late to try something new.
    We hope our experience of learning ice skating as beginner adults (which is also a great workout) will inspire you to get active and get in shape and go after those points on your bucket list, too!
    Follow our ice skating journey and be a part of our ice skating progression with our ice skating vlog every Thursday. Hope you enjoy our ice skating channel.

    I spent 2.5 years to get to where you were at around 10 months. that's really fast progression. didnt help that I started at age 42 and had 1hour per week the first year. then 2h/wk and now up to 4.

    I love your videos and watching your progress! I just started skating myself as an adult back in February and it’s been non-stop fun. How many hours a week would you say you both practice?

    • @brunoandfae
      @brunoandfae  3 года назад +5

      Aw that’s so cool! We practice between 7 and 9 hours per week I’d say… We usually do public skating for most of the time because our rink usually is not so crowded (other than summer time) and we do 1 ice dance lesson a week and 1 mini group lesson for moves 🤗

    Hi guys, just curious, are you skating everyday. to get to this point? I am currently able to skate with my coach twice a week for now. We both work in Film and our days and weeks can be crazy. Thanks.

      We don’t actually. While pandemic was still fully on and we didn’t have much work, we skated 3-4 days a week.
      These days most weeks we skate twice unfortunately. This week we could only go once. But we’re hoping to be able to stick to at least twice a week

    I started skating again after about 20 years back in January and I haven't progressed nearly as much.
    Great job! How many days a week/hours are you guys skating to progress like this?

    • @lauravogel7333
      @lauravogel7333 3 года назад +2

      I just saw the answer to this question in another comment. That explains why you guys progress so much more. I usually only get to the rink for a weekly lesson and a day of practice. I wish we had a rink closer to home so I could skate daily.
