I used this for the city trip with 200 KG load. It was still powerful and fast up to 80km/h. I like it. Good bus.
200 KG is not enough, it usually carries much more. And try to travel long distance. not just in town. Yes as a city van possible, but only to small towns. I wouldn't want to think about it in a city like NY or something like that.
200kg on a van? Come on, I loaded my w203 a couple days ago with 500kg and it did 330km on rural roads and highway

@@isfandiernasyrdinov1557 die 136ps sind vollkommen ausreichend für den e-crafter nur wie schon gesagt der ist bei 100kmh gelimitet, könnte wenigstens bis 180 laufen eigentlich.

seems to be good acceleration for a large van, top speed obviously limited to 95km/h. how many km range does it have?

The limit for semi trucks is 90km / h, why vans too, 120km / h would be better
Imagine driving this van during winter, in sub zero temperatures, with lots of cargo and over 100 kph... You would get like 50 km of range 🤦🏼♂️ This van is the type of van you use in the city, where you do lots of stops along the route and go max 50 kph. If you intend to drive long distances on the highway, you choose the diesel variant.

@@Eieieieinszweidrei kommt wohl auf die fahrweise an.. leider haben die meisten transporter aktuell noch für ihre größe relativ kleine akkus verbaut (hier ca. 35 kWh).. ich denke in naher zukunft mit feststoffbatterien werden die dinger so richtig was leisten können und ihren diesel-zwillingen die stirn bieten.

100 km per hour is a very normal speed.
@@Simon-dm8zv It's been a while since I watched the video but didn't it just go up to 95 on the tachometer? I mean, it's OK for a normal interurban road but that's an autobahn.

Да, такое ограничение нужно делать на все авто! 90кмч хорошая скорость, экономия топлива, и малый выброс СО и самое главное - это гораздо безопаснее, чем 100+!
Иногда хочется же, РА-ТА-ТА сделать!)) Жаль многие не понимают, когда, где и при каких условиях можно дать 180+, так-что было безопасно для себя и окружающих
100km/h is the Top speed and the Voltage gauge drops by 25% after a couple of kilometres and Environmentalists ist call this Progress..0 emissions....what a waste of R&D resources lol

I did notice this today on 35 km trip on higway going 80-90 kmh. I lost like 2/5 of the battery but then was able to drive around and go back and only got 35 km left on my way back, it just eats the battery if you go full throttle.

What's the point of a 160 km/h speedometer if it's limited to 100?
you can use the same speedo in other cars and do not have to build one specifically for this model. This allows you to save money by building one less part.

Kann es sein das der Sprinter kaputt ist oder so? Der wird doch bestimmt auch 120 km/h bis 130 km/h fahren können oder? Also entweder nimmst du ab 100 km/h Gas weg oder der Sprinter hat was. Also das wäre mir neu sowas.
Der e-Sprinter kann man in verschiedene Versionen kaufen. Mit oder ohne Tempolimit.

Since it's a commercial vehicle, it's good that speed is limited to 100 km/h or other little bit more, otherwise employers will violate powerful diesel buy driving up to 150 km/h and this will be in vain for the employees

It feels like Volkswagen purposefully clogged up the speed limit at 110 km for this car.
The batteries would run out in a matter of minutes otherwise. Especially with a heavy load at the back.

It's limited to 95/100 km/h to preserve the range. (which is absolutely necessary, as the range is already atrociously low!)
This is an electric powertain, not a ICE powertrain matched with a multiple-speed gearbox. There are two driving factors:
1) Duty service
- 100kW is called peak power, i.e. for few seconds (10s in this case)..this is not useful for cruising high speed. Peak power is what you need to accelerate to compensate the inertia, i.e. during transient.
- The e-crafter is rated with 50kW continuous power -> this is the sustained power that can be maintained for long time (ideally infinite) without exceeding the max operating temperaures in the system, i.e. exactly what the powertrain has to guarantee in an Autobahn scenario.
Electric motor, inverter and battery have peak and continuous ratings.
2) Maximun rotational speed of the electric motor
There is no multiple speed gearbox, therefore the ground speed is directly proportionally to the rpm of the motor. The powertrain comes from the e-golf, 290Nm/100kW peak power. Maximum operating speed is 12000rpm. Being a van that has to carry heavy loads, probably they use a higher fixed gear ratio comparing to the egolf to increase the wheel torque. This would reduce the maximum possible ground speed.

Die Crafter mit Verbrennungsmotor haben eine zulässige Gesamtmasse von 3,5t bei einer Nutzlast von 1,5t. Der e-Crafter Wiegt leer 2,5t und hat eine zulässige Gesamtmasse von 4,2t. Somit ist ein LKW Führerschein notwendig und man darf maximal 80 km/h fahren. Und dann hat man auch nur ne realistische Reichweite von 120Km. Ist auf jeden Fall nichts für einen Umzug von Berlin nach Stuttgart.
Ist bestimmt ein Verkaufsschlager.
