    lovely! So funny--hubby just asked if we had any baby powder and I gave him the side eye.."yes, but I intend to gel print with it." He settled for the foot powder I dug out of the bathroom cabinet. I can't wait to try it out.

    I can tell you what that brush was for because I have one. Way back in the old days when Architects and designers had to draw by hand the brush was used to sweep off lead and eraser dust from their drawings. You’re welcome!😊

    This reminds me of the class Sara and I took at Canvas Corp days with you. You do love your messy! Such pretty papers. Watching you play, and not having to get all painty myself, is super fun. Glad you are doing videos. Your inner child is somewhat infectious.

      I remember! Considering my baby powder coated art room, I’m thinking there’s some wisdom in watching someone else make the mess! 😆😆

    I don't have baby powder, but I do have corn starch and a silcone thing that goes on the top of my cup to steep herbal tea. Needless to say, part of my table is a powdery mess!
    Thank you for the delightful video. I enjoyed watching and doing.

    OMG 😮😮😮I LOVE THIS I have to try this Technique I love the results you get so pretty and easy.13:08 I know you must have been asked or done a video on what do you have your geli plate on ? It also looks like you outlined your Geli plate but with what please tell me or do you have a video cause if I use mine it’s so new I haven’t used it yet I know it will slide all over. Always love your videos and your giggle.

      My gel plate is on a piece of glass. I put decorative duct tape around the edges of the glass because the corners were pointy and I’m accident prone!

    I had bought a big bag of calcium carbonate powder from amazon several years ago because I was going to try recipes to make my own gesso and different types of mediums. All of them failed. Then I saw a video about using baby powder in gelli printing. I remembered I had the calcium carbonate and tried it and it worked perfectly.

    I was wondering if you had a vid on how you store your plates? I always get bubbles storing it in the package...it is frustrating lol These are lovely prints!! Great idea!

    • @ShannonGreen
      @ShannonGreen  5 месяцев назад +2

      I have one plate and I store it in its original package. It does have some slight bubbles but they dont matter with the kind of prints I do.

    Hello Shannon, this is a really interesting technique - But sadly 😞😞 I don't have a gelli plate and no intentions at this point of getting one, SO do you have any ideas or suggestions on what could be used as a replacement (diy style) for doing gelli prints?? Yes, it's our hot season now, but I figured since you were from Texas that you'd be used to the heat, LoL. I pray that y'all are doing well up there, besides the heat. Take care and God bless. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas

      You could try a plastic bag (trash, grocery, etc) . Tape down to a surface you don’t mind potentially getting paint and give it a try.
