    A Brandy Alexander was the first legal drink I ordered in a restaurant when I turned 21 in 1985. :-)

    I’ve always shaken this drink, blending the cream into the spirits. But I like the elegance of this presentation. Going to make one tonight. Thanks, Leandro. Another good video.

      @@jimfererro1493 Good to know, I've always had it with the cream as well but this is intriguing. I'll have to give it a shot.

    My absolute favorite cocktail. A true classic that although simplistic in its making, imparts a delicious, decadent flavor to your tastebuds. Thank you my friend for making this. We are having a small get together tonight and our first toast will be to you.

    I will need to try this method - chilled spirits with heavy cream top. But I will also add some fresh nutmeg.

    If I don’t have the squeeze bottle and coil, can I get the same effect with the cream by shaking longer in a small container?

    • @TheEducatedBarfly
      @TheEducatedBarfly  6 лет назад

      the coil is from a Hawthorne strainer. Yes, you can just shake it loner, the coil is there to expedite it.

    This looks soooo delicious!!! Just one question, do you usually sweeten a little bit your whipped cream, or so you use it without any sugar? For my white russians (and I know somebody will kill me) i usually sweeten up the whipped cream, but only because I usually make my white russians with Spanish coffee orujo, if I prepare them with kalhua I won't add any sugar to the cream.

    • @TheEducatedBarfly
      @TheEducatedBarfly  6 лет назад +3

      usually don't sweeten it, unless it calls for a flavored whipped cream, like with creme de cacao.

    • @adriasubirana4392
      @adriasubirana4392 6 лет назад

      Well, I put around 5% by weight of sugar in my whipped cream for my white Russians because I like them this way!!! I hope you won't kill me for that! Hahahahaha! As I said, Spanish orujo coffee liquor is not as sweet as Kalhua, actually it is very dry (I use a brand called Martin Codax, absolutelly delicious, but very dry). There is a bar in my hometown that makes the white russian served in a martini glass, made with kalhua, and they don't add any sugar to the cream, and I like it this way! But I don't have kalhua at home, just this Orujo!!!

    Coco = coconut
    cacao = chocolate
    Quite the diference!

    • @TheEducatedBarfly
      @TheEducatedBarfly  4 года назад +1

      Thanks but when I say coco I am referencing the word cocoa (pronounced Koh-Koh) which is a derivative of the Spanish word cacao. Cocoa is processed chocolate while the other (Cacao) refers to unprocessed chocolate. Still wrong but it wasn’t my pronunciation

      @@TheEducatedBarfly Oh. Thanks for the replay! I wasn't trying to bash or anything.
      I'm really enyoing all the content!
      Probably the problem, (for me, as a native spanish speaker) is that coco as diminutive of cocoA is never used, because it means something else. And yes, Cocoa is the widespread "synonymus" for Chocolate, as in the instant mix to make Hot chocolate, literaly hot Cocoa.
      That's why everytime I hear you say Koh-Koh liquer I start to wonder,
      "why the hell would you put coconut flavor in this cocktail???"
      LoL
