Hi Jonny, its me again. Which Hilt Finish do I have to chose to get the same finish as you? Standard? And do you know what they mean with Energy Vibration? Thank you!
Hello mate. Yes, mine is the standard finish. Not sure what they mean by energy vibration but at a guess, it’s some sort of gyro that vibrates when you ignite or swing the saber around.
Can your next review involve a double bladed lightsaber? As I want to see what they are like before I buy one ;) Many Thanks dude.
Is this the standard finish? (IE, a lot of the pictures on the website seem to show it as all jet black). And how long did it take from order to delivery?
Yes this is standard, the black one is the weathered finish. Delivery was quite prompt on this one, about 2-3 weeks.

Do you have with the champion tier also two buttons on the front and the kill key at the back???
I'm not too sure. Maybe the bottom button is where the kill key goes on the Champion tier.
Hey quick question, if you pick the Hero option apart from being able to change sound fonts can you also change the colors so it doesn't switch from a color to another by flicking the saber?
Yes of course! You can choose from the windows app on what colours to have on each sound font, so if you want one specific colour for each and not random, or just one colour for all.

Also should I get the emerald knight or juggernaut
I can't speak for the Juggernaut but I believe the Emerald Knight would be better. From my experience it's got a nice grip for twirling about. I get a little thumb blister if I spin it for a long time, but I think the Juggernaut would be worse as it has a little bit of a thin-neck going on there.

Great video. I was wondering, I'm new to the community and I know this might sound stupid but, In real life are the Sabers a solid colour? Or are they white in the middle and have the colour on the outside? Becuase I am only going to spend $300 on a lightsaber if its movie accurate.

It’s nowhere near as separated as it is on camera, the colour is very well dispersed in real life. But it isn’t white in the middle and colour only on the edge like it is in the movies. It’s bright and glows whatever colour it is.
First! Do u recommend buying an empty hilt from sf and then ordering electronics to diy install or buy the whole package? Im super new to this stuff so...

I really couldn't say as I'm not electronically minded but if you feel confident, go for it. There's the option for building your own one with their adaptive saber parts.

Skidush I think it does end up more expensive, plus you have to put the thing together yourself. But you have a completely unique saber that’s been designed by you so it depends how badly you want a 100% custom saber.

I really like the design of it! Saberforge is a great shop, but all those sabres are so expensive! I usually buy my lightsabers at Ultrasabres.
The Redeemer saber, your first purchase, is probably less comfortable because it's just a clone of Luke's saber from Return of the Jedi, which had a green blade in the movie. Only reason I bring that up was that I thought it was odd that it wasn't mentioned in the last video or this one. That one would have been designed by the ILM prop department, so it was never meant to feel comfortable for cosplay. It's just a movie prop design. Thought it should be at least mentioned.
Youre correct except of the Redeemer is Obi-Wans Master lightsaber. The Prodigal Son is Lukes lightsaber you mentioned. They are pretty similar however. (As the Padawans use their Masters lightsaber as their main... archetype.) The control box (a common thing on many lightsabers) is not a big deal if youre wearing gloves.
What is the size of the blade you hold on your saber ? And is this the mint green color ??

Mathieu L. Yeah I’d say if you’re a bit shorter then go for a 26 inch as it won’t be so much to swing around, but 37 inch works fine for this one for me.

Ok i got it !! I'm quite tall (6'2 high), so i think the blade will be 32 inch long cause 26 blade is a bit shorter. It's Yoda saber i think.
Hi all, I recently got my Emerald Knight Hero Tier. I've noticed something odd between mine and the one in the video and other sabers from Saber Forge. On mine, where the 2 buttons are, Button 2 is actually the kill key and button 1, instead of being a button has 2 brass prongs which are Buttons 1 and 2. Since they are just tiny prongs, they are not lighting up like the other Sabers I've seen. Does anyone else have something similar? Should I write to Saber Forge and inquire about why mine is different? Thank you in advance.
I think that they changed up their design for the hero tier electronics so that folks don't have to have the third hole in the back of the saber. If you look at the DIY ASP bits, one entry in the electronics part is the hero tier electronics, which includes that new switch.
@@Caldoric Yes they seem to change designs quite frequently as I seem to have a very unique design for my Obi Wan hilt, whereby my kill key is hidden beneath the ignition switch.

So I'd say it depends on what you want. It's changed a bit since this video. There's a load of sound fonts and colours that come with Hero tier but it's still pretty expensive. Veteran will get you 3 sound font and 1 blade colour. So it depends if you think you'll use them all. I went all out on this one because I wanted a saber with everything on it and I had the disposable income at the time.

My hilt is the standard finish.
Also who's lights are was it?
As in the power?
It's standardised 12 watt now in all sabers I believe.
Is there anyway to turn off the rotating color change to just a button or something?
Not that I'm aware of, but it's a fairly specific motion so I don't feel that you could do it by accident. I actually struggle to do it intentionally sometimes 😅

Does the color ever just change on you while you're swinging it around? Seems like just twisting it on its axis could have accidental color switches.
It's only happened a few times but it's quite well designed as it has to be on the right axis (e.g. held vertically) I think that's linked up to the gyro.

I'm very interested in the hero tier electronics. I'm planning to get a Graflex and might put some Hero tier plug and play electronics. A special saber deserves special electronics, right?
Oooh very nice indeed! Graflex is the most iconic saber I feel so it's a good idea to kit it out with all the bells and whistles. Let me know when you get it!

5:15 Is that because of the tier or the lightsaber itself?
If you mean holding the button down for the clash sound, then yes it's due to the tier that it is. This is the only saber I have that has all the bells and whistles on it.

I was wondering what the weight of the saber, with and without the blade, is? I want one but I’m not the strongest person and want to be able to duel well so I was just wondering😁
I couldn't tell you in specific weights but it's a lot lighter than my Redeemer (Obi Wan) saber, mainly due to the fact that it has less heavy materials (the Redeemer has copper and brass in it). Also take into account the blade length as it can make you feel like your saber is heavier as the balance will be further up the saber if the blade is longer.

Jomenas it’s been a long hard think, and I’ve almost decided. I want a thin neck saber but I’m worried about bending on the neck😬I want to be able to spar with a friend but I don’t want the neck to bend if things get a little out of hand. Does it bend easily/at all?
Jomenas and another thing, does the color switch easily while you are dueling with the hero tier? I don’t want to be in the middle of a battle and then my blade color changes, you know?

emerald night has more of the prequels look to it. especially compared to obi wan's o.g. trilogy lightsaber
Does the hilt come with a blade or is it just 150$ for the hilt?
Depends which tier you get. Initiate is just an empty hilt with no electronics or blade and that's the $150 price. Then the next tier, Warrior, has a removable blade, LED blade colour and a few other features but no sound and that's an extra $99.

@@anitapreuner5389 Yeah, sadly it's a fair chunk of money. The next tier up is Veteran and that includes 3 different sound 'fonts' they call them and everything that was in the Warrior tier. That's $184 on top of the initial $150.

I believe this design is based off a Legends character called Corran Horn who was one of Luke's new republic Jedi.
Who’s saber is this?
It's based on the design of 'Corran Horn' - he's an old Legends character. Fighter pilot later turned Jedi and the saber is modified from the chassis of a speederbike handle.
You should of called them and got them to check the fee's it should be classed as a toy/prop what's happened is the person who read the declaration form and seen lightsaber and not knowing what it is has just gone...O light... .lighting equipment or they didn't know what to class it under and again just gone of the word light.
Pilks UK Yeah I’m thinking that’s what happened. Unfortunately it’s far too late for me to contest it now, but I can at least stop it happening to others.
yeah I've had it happen twice and had to call up and it dropped the import from around £134 to £28 its a big diference just annoys me that I generally only have to pay on import duty when I buy from the states.... my SaberTrio sabers went through customs fine without charge..... maybe when we leave the EU we will do something about this its basically a tax to discourage people from purchasing outside the single market....

Yeah im sure if I added in the cost of the phone call it would of been higher lol tip for the future ask the seller to put Toy on the declaration form and not lightsaber lol
But yeah what I started doing was if saberforge had a hilt I liked I purchase it empty and use JQsabers and thesaberarmoy for parts as they are both in the UK.
