America and Trump planned for this. Remember we froze federal Aid? “ hey Congo, Canada is playing hardball with those minerals, sell us urs discounted and we can continue that $4b AID” “hey Canada, the tariffs hurt, sure would be a shame to bankrupt your entire military because we make the parts for ALL YOUR MILITARY AIRCRAFT. Silly me, I ment ALL your air craft, Boeing, yea American” “France, you sure you want to boycott the USA? The loss of funds means we can’t supply nato, don’t drop the soap! Jk, Russia, China and NK vs the USA less NATO is a good scap”

Might want to rethink that if your country’s security depends on the US, as most do. Either that or finance your own military. Tough talk is great until someone calls your bluff.

Canada can tighten the noose on America buy putting export tariffs on heavy crude to the point where it's just slightly cheaper than buying from Venezuela and Iran. Gas prices are projected to spike 50-70 cents a gallon. They're already increasing as your corporations will never pass on an excuse for raising prices to (over)compensate for higher costs. Soon America will be back to double digit inflation, a million job losses (Canada will ofc lose jobs as well but not nearly as many as our export industries are less labour-intensive commodity extraction industries.) Also, Trump has already promised tariffs on the EU as well. He's isolating America and therefore killing America.

through the magical-economic-paradigm, but through psychological and, dare I say, humanist principles!

My wife's the smartest person I know. She's from Thailand. Moved here 4 years ago. She has a masters in finance at chiang mai university, second best college in Thailand, from my understanding.
She's taken not seriously at all here in the US. She worked some restaraunt jobs but had to stop because our baby. Shes tried to get a serious job with banking, but no one takes her serious it seems.
She gave up and has been trading stocks for me. Shes doing so well. She's a genius. The way she thinks is fascinating.
She doesn't keep up with US news at all really and is so busy with our toddler. I was filling her in on all the wild stuff. Than I got to tariffs.
Her immediate reaction was "I like it". I was shocked. She says making new business deals is a interesting. The US could import berries from Peru, we can make deals with new countries. It's interesting.
No one really discusses that. Maybe trump doesnt know or think about it yet.
Still, could be really good for the US. We'll see.

Canada is raising their own tariffs now and I guarantee you Trump will raise ours in response.
