Ever since I started making content on you tube, my friends at college used to laugh at me, even now they think I am a stupid person who has gone crazy due to some heartbreak or shit, and started making stupid videos to release frustration.
Many times I thought of quitting, but now i realise it's worth it. I am gonna bring a change, and sideways make money as well.

Varun never wanted to be a social media influencer. He probably hates being famous. He values his privacy. But after the digital revolution, he knew he had to constantly online, communicating, else, he would definitely lose the real success and the social value that came with it. The guy had a 150k followers on insta without intentionally creating any content in 2019. Respect
Quite honestly, can I make a channel on mental health/ mindfullness / emotional well being and be a freelancer/ remote worker/ content creator through that? I do want to help people who are suffering and earn my living through this and hopefully scale it with time but I also don't want to sell out so to say. @@gokuls9062 depends on the year. There were some years where we made a ton of $$, and some where we were take risk + building consumer. Generally B2B years are very good, consumer years are average.

Spent 12 years on RUclips and I must say the earnings don't depend on subscriber count at all.
Earnings depend on multiple complex parameters. Only few people know about it and they don't make videos on it. Staying alive for more than 10 years on RUclips is challenging as hell.
Your career in RUclips will be like a bell shaped curve. You will make maximum amt in the middle years.
One more tip to new gen youtubers.
Keep RUclips secondary. First get skills. Get educated then come to this field otherwise you will find difficulty handling your fame, money and will loose everything in the end.
From a youtuber with more than 12 yr experience clocking 3M-5M views per month in education category.

From a 21k subs channel - the values he has given are a bit skewed to the higher side but can't blame varun as he's trying to put it out as general as possible.

thought i like varuns content a lot but this video is just too naive , it doesn't depends on the no. of followers that much its way more dependent several other factors , like the quality of audience, no. of videos, you r putting out, and watchtime ,views, and it can vary wildly,
you can have a channel with just 10k subs earning more than 1million subs channel.

In India even with 100k views ppl aren't making anything significant. The Indian consumer is spoiled, they can pay 700 for pizza but not for ANY digital product, except some like education content.
While buying digital products, people have options, they spend less and go for the best in the market, think the subscriptions you've, I've not more than 3, rest physical products I buy from Amazon. Even those who do ecommerce/drop shipping in India, they sell to the clueless india, they kind of scaam Indians into buying a magical looking but cheap Chinese product and never hear back from them
The figures you told are only for the quality channels with viewers from top cities, or in niche like fintech where affiliate income is good enough. Otherwise it's hard to earn as a creator
