I'm firmly convinced that the greatest talent out there is in the Praise-the-Lord business and the fact that they choose to take their talent and magnify and glorify the giver of talents is truly inspiring
I felt bad that Claude Hopper wasn't allowed to finish what he was saying. I think we owe him that much respect, and he shouldn't have been silenced half through his story. If he got that far, let him finish out of respect.
Great awards show! The icons of SGM were the Godly foundation...Connie, Squire, Peg, etc. I admire those groups and artists that intentionally drew the focus away from themselves and gave God the praise. Those were ones such as The Collingsworths, Rodney, all the Hoppers that spoke, Michael Booth, David Sutton, Eric Bennett, etc. It does leave me to wonder about the ones whose continual presentation seems to say, "I'm here to promote me..." Clayton Inman comes to mind with his 'look at me' approach....like his new growth of hair in the back? So Clayton can grow hair...give him an award. . Overall, SGM had a great representation of the greatest music in the world.

@@1turbobrick I realized it was an Act, and was supposed to be funny. However, I do also agree that it seemed somewhat "disrespectful" as it does just kinda show how Younger People don't "respect their Elders" anymore. They should have tried a different approach at being funny. :(

I totally agree! I am sick and tired of seeing them win every award every year. I have nothing against them. I just want to see somebody else win for a change.
