I have a power wire coming off the rca reverse camera, do I hook that red wire to the reverse camera wire off the radio harness also in addition to your step or I don’t connect it?
I just installed this and I'm getting a black and white image from Camera 1; camera 2 is in color and comes on when camera 1 is disconnected so it's working as intended, but for some reason is only showing a black and white image on the primary input circuit. I've tested the other camera on a separate video monitor and it's working in color there. Can you tell me why I'd get a b/w image?
You need some way to turn off one of the cameras, as the switch only allow "camera B" through if "camera A" isn't providing a video signal. In the case of a backup camera, it is typically powered by the reverse light circuit so off when car not in reverse. So it could be a manual switch, or if there is some functionality in the car you want it associated with, tap into that to power the camera, possibly via relay...
Thanks! Many restless night searching for this exact solution for my ax3000 Sony. Just bought one . But do I need to use the beuler slave In order to use hdmi or can I use any converter? You also helped me with radio wiring !
We have a 2019 Honda Ridline and want to use the head unit for rear view when in reverse and front view when not. How will this effect normal operation and head unit function?
When not in reverse, and the front camera / or phone mirroring taking priority -- what happens to the radio display? can a switch be added so that the front camera power in my instance is cut? eg. Default is radio display, switch on = front camera, reversing = backup camera?
This switcher is dependant on signal from the cameras to switch. You would need to control the power to the front camera, I don't have an automatic solution.
this is brilliant - I wonder if it can be used for my scenario - I'd like to be able to wire a front license plate camera to a simple on off switch and I'd like the backup camera to be wired to my reverse break light with the reverse light taking priority. How might I go about achieving that using this system?
hmmm.... after watching the video a second time, I get the impression that if I connect the rear camera to the master and the front camera to the slave with the switch in the circuit, it'll do exactly what I'm wanting. Does that sound about right?
@@memesupreme4338 You still have the problem with the trigger switch (the power that triggers the screen to turn to AV input from whatever mode you have on your head unit at the time (radio, gps, etc). I'm planing to add a side mirror camera that turns on when I turn my right signal on. I do have an additional AV input but it's not like the back up camera, it doesn't have a trigger. So, I need another splitter for the power trigger and hook both cameras on the same input with the priority to the reverse camera. I'm not sure if I can use this device for the 12v, it's designed for AV signal. I emailed them with no response.
If adding a cargo back up camera, how would i select which camera would be displayed on the screen

So to add an additional camera would you have to add a seperate toggle switch outside of the head unit?

@@michaeltempsch5282 Thanks for the reply.
@@michaeltempsch5282 Exactly correct. You will splice the camera power with a switch or relay.

You would want to use one of our manual switchers such as this: www.qualitymobilevideo.com/avs200.html

@@Qualitymobilevideo Just get a rocker switch, no power in the middle, and power to each camera and switch when selected

What can I use on my factory radio for a 2016 Lexus RX350 TO SCREEN IMAGE from my android phone?
Is this compatible with the Kenwood DDX419BT ?
Will this work for the xav ax5000?
Yup! Here's a video showing it on the AX7000, 14:00 mark: ruclips.net/video/MVbam9fBaXk/видео.html
Cool
