“On the left from top to bottom:
Manganese Violet
Winsor Violet(Dioxazine)
Amethyst
On the right from top to bottom:
Cadmium Yellow
Secret guest color:
Titanium white
Cadmium Orange
The white panel I’m using is by the company @artefexart
This one is their Oleopanel 411, it’s smooth and oil primed
Tap your screen to see their IG handle, select that and go directly to their Instagram
They have many different options of panels to paint on, I’ve used several and I’m really enjoying their products
You can see different violets being mixed with that one yellow, they create different secondary results
With white coming in it does what it’s expected to do raising value, lowering chroma more
Then with the last color, cadmium Orange, it re-introduces chroma to the mixture and modifies it accordingly in each row
I’m really enjoying these colors and seeing them develop
I also had a fun time creating this mash up on a new and interesting surface by @artefexart
