As a foreigner I heard you have to setup a business to buy a townhouse like that. Is that true? And what kind of maintenance cost is it for a holding company?

There’s no need to set up a company to buy any property in Montenegro 🇲🇪 A company would only be useful if you wanted to buy more than 5000m2 of land which has no planning status. You are free to buy a house/apartment etc regardless of where you’re from and that would allow you to have annually renewable 12 month residency.
