I've followed you on tiktok for ages but only just found you on RUclips - my god you make me feel soooooo seen! Things you chat about are so bloody relatable and make me realise (and I hope you do too) that there's probably someone out there experiencing/feeling the same!! 🫶
is uploading pre-december content for vlogmas cheating or is just being really prepared? 😏 i really relate to what you were saying re: masking. if it helps, i've found that being more open about these things has enabled those around me to be more open, too. whilst neurodivergent people tend to struggle more, everyone struggles with social expectations at times and i make a point of saying to those i'm close with that i completely understand if they need time to decompress, if they're not feeling up to something, etc. i've also found it helpful to take an approach of: 'i know i do my best to meet the social expectations of others without compromising my own wellbeing. if someone doesn't understand that, even after i explain things to them, that's their problem, not mine.' my people pleasing tendencies have def made taking this approach harder, but it's gotten easier with time. ❤ i think it's also important to recognise that you were on holiday with your partner's family in this vlog. everyone's relationship with their partner's family is different, but even in the most ideal situation, you're still comparing yourself to a group of people that have presumably known each other for much longer than they've known you. it makes sense that you may not feel as at ease & may find interactions more socially taxing.
I saw someone give this great tip for reading with ADHD where you play music that is like a soundtrack to your book. Like suspency music for a crime book or whimsical woodlandy music if it's a cute fantasy. Vibe it, y'know?
that is SUCH a good idea ?? cos i always need a soundtrack to work/do chores etc, i duno why i thought reading would be different? trying this immediately thanks x
Don’t bother getting your eyebrows microbladed, they already look great! Mine looked great for the first couple of years but now I’m so over it because even the finest strokes blur out!!
i got it done YEARS ago and agree - mine is all blurred now !! for some reason i thogutb maybe getting them done again would unblur, but now i say that out loud that's ridiculous 🤣

The trick to reading with adhd is read something that exites you, otherwise you won’t take in a single word. 😂
