My goodness! What a trooper you are to film all during pre storm, during and after! I’m so sorry y’all had to deal with that🤦🏻♀️ I’m sure that the night before the storm when Lee drove up from work he loved the beautiful lights you hung outside. So pretty. I know it wasn’t easy finding sweet Arthur’s toy while sweeping up the leaves. I’m sorry. Well, thank you again for your video. Hope the rest of your week and upcoming weekend are good. Karen, SC, USA
@KARENGRAVELY ahh thank you Karen, it was quite fun to film to be honest, such a relief though when it came back, Lee loves the lights, worth the effort, thank you for watching ☺️
I'm so glad that you came through the storm without too much bother. It always feels quite strange to me when the power goes out. It looks like you had a great time at the pub. 😊 Thank you for sharing this video. Take care. See you soon. ❤
@Auntie7024 ahh thank you, yes surprisingly we didn't have any fallen branches or anything, very lucky really, just no power, the house seems so quite though when it all goes off, thank you for watching ☺️
I thought you managed very well in the storm and the Christmas lights look great. I had a lump in my throat when you found one of Arthur’s toys but like you say you will probably find more and with time you hopefully will be able to smile with memories of what a character he was. Looking forward to the Christmas video. See you soon
@janehutchinson9999 ahh thank you Jane, I love the lights too, he loved to hide things in garden so I'm sure there's lots more, thank you for watching ☺️
I do recall my siblings & I getting quite excited when the electricity went off. It was a regular occurence when I was younger. The family would gather in front of the coal fire. It was the only room in the house with heat. The smell of burning candles & blown out matches brings back memories. We had quite a number of fallen branches & debris from the nearby woodlands fall into our garden during storm Darragh. I couldn't wait to clear it up. The fairy lights look really good Emma. They highlight Ians' wonderful wooden steps. The pub has a wonderful community spirit too. I'm looking forward to your next video. Thank you both. Take good care ❤x
@harleymac6308 ahh thank you Harley, it is very special to all be around the fire, the heart of the home, your memories sounds very special. We amazingly didn't have any fallen branches, just a few little bits, hope you got yours tidied up, thank you for watching ☺️
I live in Tregadillett 6 miles north of Launceston, I did like you got the leaves up then sat in my lounge and watched the wind pick them up out of the field next to my garden and dump huge piles back in my garden, we were lucky though the power stayed on. Years ago I lived in the high peak in Derbyshire and after a big snow storm the power was of for a week. So I know how you felt. Love your lights .
Another enjoyable video. Reminds me i have a pile of leaves by my front door i must clear tomorrow! Lol it did make me chuckle watching you sit in the dark eating your dinner 😂 Which pub did you go to? Look forward to visiting you very soon xx
We live in a remote area which suffers from power outages. We have a torch on every window sill. A box of candles in the cupboard which is easy to access and a couple of lighters in a tin next to it. We also have a box with charging cables and power chargers, we top the chargers up monthly to ensure we can use our mobiles if needed. We have swapped the house phone to a retro style one which does not require electric. We have a Kelly kettle for hot drinks and a small camping stove for warming food up if we are out of power for a while. Tinned soup, rice pudding or beans can be heated up.my other half would have had the BBQ into the shed and the branch chopped off ready 😂my MIL is almost 90 and she was without power for 18 hours 😢
@shewhocraftsandplans7736 Wow!! now that is organised, our power goes off at least twice a year, you def have it sussed, love the bbq idea, thank you for watching ☺️
I have a couple of camping lanterns that I can charge up which last for quite a while so I don’t need to use candles and I’m also thinking of investing in a power bank to be charged up to run basic things
@AnitaWalters-h4i hi Anita, I think we might invest in a power bank, our power goes off at least twice a year, I do have a lantern somewhere, not sure where though, thank you for watching ☺️
