    The pedestrians interfering at the end caused the death! Cops had it under control until the shouting began! Therefore causing more stress to the suspect and reacting to it!

    • @deano.7533
      @deano.7533 4 года назад +49

      I totally agree. The pedestrians obviously were not doing what the officers were saying... Chaos started to ensue just enough to trigger the guy into rushing the cops because at that moment he believed he really wanted to die. If those fools on the street had just acted like human beings and stayed away the cops still might have been able to talk the man into giving up. :-I

      Most cops are actually nice, some have bad days, and others are just people constantly filled with a desire to do something (maybe even violent) but most cops aren't filled with bad intentions. The media only shows the worst cases because it feeds people's desire for drama and controversial topics. But most times stuff like this happens when the cops are really trying to help the person. Until the person starts making a move that could possibly lead to death/injury to the cops, which also don't know what he is holding, but they prioritize their life before his. Just like anyone else would.

    This breaks my heart for the police and the man. He felt he had no other alternative but to do "suicide by cop". What I heard was that his children had been taken away from him, or he was unable to see them due to mental issues he had, after he was hospitalized for mental problems and left the hospital against the doctors' recommendations. You know the officer who had been trying to talk this man down is the same officer that had to shoot him. My heart goes out to this man's kids. He apparently loved his kids. We may find out later that he had a life insurance policy, or not; but something broke this man to the point he couldn't go on living. The police should be given all the support by the community; because they were so restrained. Please pray for the officer that did have to shoot the man; I am sure this will haunt him all of his life.

      In the UK he wouldn't have died.
      And to kill the officers at that distance it would have needed to be a 500lb bomb.
      It was senseless killing the guy, he was clearly not mentally well and wanting suicide by cop.
      They knew he was upset, they kept asking him.
      They have tazers, beanbag guns, dogs, pepper spray.
      But no, reach for the 9mm.

      @colintherookmain7419 5 лет назад +130

      Lort, tasers are not at all effective, and bargaining your life on a taser is not something police should be encouraged to do.
      And yes, the guy was obviously suicidal, but that doesn’t negate the potential threat at hand.
      Not only that, but the police only shot when he advanced on them with his “bomb” (closing the distance).
      Although I see your point, I say it’s a justified shooting.

They lose their racist cop loves to kill black people when they report this kinda stuff, the kinda stuff that is the majority of what happens. Um no we are just now in 2018/2019 getting to really see the bad side of police. The media is happy to show a cop playing basketball with some inner city kids. Either way these officers did their job amazingly, every cop should model themselves this way, as we’ve seen there are some who do take power and abuse it.

    • @Frank_James

      Nick Cassetta they portray us colored as victims and need protection! We can do shit ourselves , we aren't always the bad guy but some of us are, we do commit crime , I'm not trying to disrespect my race but I'm not wrong, u believe we should have some barrier at the wall , cops should do their job, people must be vaccinated, media should not be censored, let the public see the raw deal, let them know the truth in our country and stop being nuts over hating trump and shaming conservatives and sticking up for the little guy while supporting the next victim, killing babies , letting havoc run wild , I say disagree with the left and use your noggin and common sense then use rational emotion second! Not everyone is good nor bad , we have faults . . I just im sick of not knowing what is happening! The left bends the narrative or hides it the right sometimes lies but rarely . . I'm tired , soon the sheep will come to the shepherds for help and soon realize the wolf has consumed them already

      @@eastoaklandsartiebo-bo6718 this dog probably saves more lives than many "normal" officers in their life.. his life absolutely matters more than that of a man claiming he has a bomb that's going to kill all of them. No matter if the guy is white, black or a fucking president..
      And also, the cops didn't shoot until it was absolutely necessary because they didn't know if it was a bomb and if it would explode when falling to the ground.
      The only person to blame for this is the "victim", who was probably either really depressed and just wanted to die but couldn't do it on his own, or the plan was to get shot while being unarmed, so that his family gets money from the state or city or whoever. Whatever the case, he obviously WANTED to get shot by the cops. He didn't just want to die (suicidal) or he just wasn't able to do it on his own.. But he definitely wanted to die at the hands of someone else, if not specifically a police officer.
      I rest my case, bitch! 😉

      D not just that but theres many reasons why someone will stop @ nothing to have suicide by cop, instead of doing it themselves. 1. Some just cant pull the trigger. 2. A lot of religious people believe they wont go to heaven if they kill themselves. 3. Financial reasons if they want their family taken care of. Like Life ins wont pay out for suicide.

    • @jamsla2635
      @jamsla2635 4 года назад +1

      D I didnt say it was the cause in this case, b/c idk him. I clearly said that is a few of the biggest reasons why a lot go that route. And yes, religion def has to do w/ it in the cases of those that do it for that reason (which is an insanely high # of deaths due to that) We’ve grown up been told that you’ll go to hell if u kill yourselves. This is a fact, I deal w/ it all the time. I didn’t go into reasoning of other things, just why some do it. Just b/c u don’t believe it, doesn’t have anything to do w/ facts & w/ those who do. And yes, its def taught that u can go do something (like ask to be killed) & go to heaven by asking forgiveness before u pass. Whether its true, or not, we’ll only know once that time has come. Either way Im not going to debate this anymore w/ u, I know how it is & deal w/ these situations. Only that person knows whats going thru his mind, as well as those they share it w/ & thats def one of the top reasons they do it. Have a good day

It's the most bizarre thing, they don't take cover or evade just walk and shoot or that one with the guy with a knife casually jogging at a snails pace away from several cops until they eventually shot him to stop him possible stabbing a civilian he walked next to.

Some people don't want to be saved, but he did what he could. :(

      shooting in the leg is still deadly force. Also if you are going to shoot someone, always aim centre of mass because that means you are less likely to miss and more likely to have an effective shot. Even if you get the perfect shot to the leg, hes standing still, it slips in there nicely and drops him, when it fragments on his femur it can sever the artery there, one of the nice big fat ones, and he will bleed out within minutes.

    *At **27:58** cop on the right, picks up the "bomb" and shakes it, killing everyone within 6 feet.*
    *If it was a bomb, that's the least that would have happened.*

      if it was a bomb that could be triggered by shaking, it would have happened when he dropped it. And at that point they were more concerned about saving his life cuz it was pretty clear whatever he was holding wasn't going to explode or it would have done so.

      I see is a man who needed someone to sit with him and be a friend. The root of the problem, no love or compassion for the suffering of another human being. This is what happens when a nation takes God out of the picture and replaces him with politicians and THEIR laws. Just look at the comments, do you see any that say what we did?

      I thought pistol caliber carbines weren’t very popular in the police world. Kinda weird to see when most pistol calibers won’t penetrate body armor :/

      UMP 45 will knock you on your ass if you don't have body armor and plus they don't have nearly the velocity and penetration as rifles so they are safer to use outdoors.

    Sounds like suicide by cop: "Family and friends said at the time that Rashaun Washington had been battling addiction and mental illness. According to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, a toxicology report found Washington was under the influence of THC and PCP at the time of his death. Two separate reviews by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and the state Attorney General’s Office concluded the use of force was legally justified to protect officers and bystanders."
