Martim Moniz was a Portuguese knight of noble birth and a famous figure in the Siege of Lisbon in 1147 ¹. The Martim Moniz station, named after him, is on the Green Line of the Lisbon Metro ². The area is home to a large Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani community and is considered the heart of Lisbon's multiculturalism
