This is a great space for you Wayne. I’d watch interviews with you and other engineers. These conversations are vital for engineers who actually partake in the art of it. Thank you.
I really like Irko. I been following this dude for years. He’s one of the very first industry engineers to actually listen to me and talk to me via Twitter. He’s the 🐐
It’s always great to see the superstars behind our superstars. Wayne is a great interviewer, listens well and knows all the right questions to ask . Excellent content
DUDE I TALKED TO THIS GUY ON IG LAST YEAR AND WE WANTED TO WORK ON A MIX OF MINES AND I WILL DEFINITY GETTING BACK TO HIM DIDN'T REALIZED HE WAS THAT DEEP ALREADY I CANT WAIT TO GET A EMAIL BACK ! WAVY WAYNE HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!!!! YO 🤯
We used to have to travel to different cities for various music conferences and panels to get this kind of insight. Thanks for bringing this to the people Wayne. 💪🏾💯
I didn't know you went to Fullsail University. I'm in the audio engineering course right now. I graduate in July of this year. I watch your videos all the time to help me along. Thank you for the content!
BRUH lol Wayne I've never commented but bro...you should have let him answer that stem/plugin question. But he shook his head no, so lmao all good. Your channel is fire. Keep going!
Great interview, very informative. When Kanye was recording Donda in that stadium in ATL it was rumoured that he fired his engineer for being late or not showing up for a session. This guy said he mixed The entire Donda album.. I wonder if this the guy that was supposedly canned lol
Hey bro I got a question I’ve been mixing for a little while now and my ears are starting to have a pretty good train on them But my question is how come when I bring in professional mixes from artists such as , future, gunna, dolph When I use there songs and enter them in my Protools for a reference almost 70%of them are peaking my meters immediately turn red when they base hit But yet it sound so good and don’t distort How come when I peak I distort even with a clipping limiter on and theirs still sound good without distort
@@thekingaron When you import them into your session are you turning off any effects you have on the master fader? All sound is routed through the master fader so if you're using it to reference and have plugins inserted, it's going to affect the reference track as well.

You guys should do a mix off battle .... both mix the same song .... and post both mixes .... see who’s mix is the best 💯
If you get the chance, throw some saturation on the vocal track of this from Irko. It's like some weird disturbance in the 2-4K area.
Go Balls Deep Bahahahhah Great information but this was hilarious

His answer to the reverb duplicated on another track was weak. You can just eq the bus🤷🏾♂️. What if you have 6 background and 4 adlib tracks? Crazy
