I always wondered if in those scenarios would the candle just not light? It also made the nerd in me wonder when the next full moon on Halloween occurs and it’s coming up in 2020 which also happens to be a Saturday. This is what happens when you’ve seen a movie probably 20+ times, you start picking apart all the little details.
There is a mass hanging in one of the pirates movies, and they avoid the cliché of saving every person taken to the gallows, as did this movie. Given how rare it is to see someone actually hang in a work of fiction, only be threatened with it, this is a treat.
The father found the body of his daughter. Emily died. After that, he was hoping that his son would be alive. He questioned and yelled at the witches for an answer. They refused to answer him before he hanged them. It's just very sad that the father didn't know that they had turned his son into a cat.
Did no one think 'cats got my tongue' was a pretty major giveaway, especially when there was a wailing cat jostling around their legs trying to get their attention? Stupid townsfolk.
So after watching this movie the other day I realized something. I and many other people I know distinctively remember her saying something. "We shall be back and the lives of all the children in SALEM shall be mine!" Yet she never said Salem? Either I and everyone I know has a screwed up brain or I smell the Mandela effect on our hands.
I've always been confused by this, but why do the people flinch away when they are hanged? I know it's obvious to others, but could someone help me out?
