I got one used last November and it has the same problem of not liking to pull much weight and when it reaches the steepest grade on my clubs layout, which isn't super steep, she just dies, I love it but I'm disappointed at the same time, definitely going to get an athearn one when I get the opportunity due to the athearn one having the better power to weight ratio
I know it also was sold with DCC sound. I won't swear to it, but think they also sold it in DC as a DCC ready loco. This loco however will run just fine on DC. Also you can pop out the chip and put in an 8 pin dummy plug for DC.
@@Hubertproductions4176 It should. I have not tested on my home layout as it's 18 inch curves won't handle this loco. But I can test when I get home using my model power DC controller. Just have to stop before hitting a curve. Lol
Very cool 😎 Would have loved to see the real thing run. Like your clubs layout !
Me too! I have never seen one in person, running or otherwise. Hope to one day. I love the club layout. Lets me run nice long trains!
Hello vintage Road and rail I have a dd40 ax Centennial I run it once in awhile it is a good locomotive is my favorite diesel
It's a good puller, I'm willing to be it could have pulled 50 cars no sweat.

The Bachmann version is great if you just decent model, but the detail and pulling power of the Athearn version is awesome.
Beauty!👍👍 I have toòoo much elevation&curves to run that bus😂 I do like it tho.I 🚂🇨🇦🇺🇲🙋
Lol, I got this to run at the club. Too much for my little train table.
@@VintageRoadRail got ya. I'd still would try tho 😋 lol
Can it run on r18 curve?
I have not tried it on 18" radius curves. I think it's recommended for 24" or greater, but might handle 22".
Does this come in dc

So this will run with a mrc tech 2 controller dc

@@VintageRoadRail sweet thanks let me know if it works so I can consider getting one
@@Hubertproductions4176 It does run on DC! If my will run using my Model Power power supply, MRC should have no issues!
