- On August 1st, 2011 Kevin Durant showed up to Rucker Park and played for DC Power in the Entertainers Basketball Classic. Durant was at this point the reigning scoring champion in the league., While the NBA was in lockout, Durant had the idea to play in all the parks in New York City, he started out with the legendary Rucker Park and the rest is history.

Durant is the smoothest scorer that this game has ever seen. His jumpshot looks like he isn't spending a single ounce of energy more than necessary for that ball to defeat gravity and splash. Like, I'm from the Lou area (St. Louis) and whenever we have NBA talent come thru like on a Friday or some shit, the word spread around quick and it be like everybody from all the hoods start poppin up and having a good time and puttin all the street shit aside at least until the cameras and kids leave then it's back to the bullshit. But at least everybody was chillin for the time and got something else to talk about for the rest of the summer that's positive.

Got so much respect for kd saying how he been watching rucker for years and how it's an honor to play there. Notice how only a certain few nba players play at rucker and after, if they do they do they're thing, they have so much more respect as a player? They had 3 superstars (Klay Thompson is a bonafide superstar: if you are an all star every year, you might end up being the 2nd greatest shooter of all time, and can pull out massive games in the playoffs to keep your team from being eliminated then you are a superstar)and one all star in draymond (who is so fucking valuable with his defense and passing) like you said just to beat Lebron. I was just clowning because I know those threes haunt Lebron for sure..but none of those 4 players are even 75% of what Lebron is or ever will be far as his legacy is concerned. And I agree Gloria Lebron did choke in those finals..that’s why he is not the GOAT (Jordan never choked in a single series in his whole career let alone to a team with only one great player) and it’s why I consider Dirk Nowitzki to be the second greatest power forward of all time..because for two months when it mattered the most he was the best player in the league and carried a below average team to a championship over one of the best teams of all time in that heat squad.
