      Technically if you're in a park after hours that could be a civil infraction where they could write you a ticket for it and in which case you would have to produce your id.
      I was in a very similar situation by myself in a park after hours just hanging out and a police car came in with all of its lights going at me as if I was some criminal. He came at me so fast that I honestly thought he was gonna hit me with his cruiser. I gave him my ID and he just told me to get my stuff and leave. I suppose he could have written me a ticket but he let me go.
      Cops aren't playing anymore that's for sure not even for minor stuff. Unfortunately if you are breaking time, place, manner, restrictions then you will have to produce an ID if asked and they want to write you a ticket.

      I think TCRL covered this a couple of months ago and he looked into it and the area he was parked in was not listed as part of the park at all. And not subject to the new township ordinance

    We all just going to ignore the EMT's who cleared a guy to go to jail with 8 broken ribs, a punctured lung, disfigured lip, shoulder injury and concussion... In fact over $100,000 worth of injuries.

      @@Loco_Lui exactly, most of the time cops are covered by "we have investigated and found no wrong doing" which is absurd that it isn't a 3rd party doing the investigation, also have to lose Qualified Immunity, it is BS, and instead should make police have something similar to what doctors are required to have some kind of "Excessive Force Insurance" so that when they make a mistake the company that insured them pays out and then the police officers payment that he makes per month or what ever to be a police officer will go up, and eventually if they make to many "mistakes" they will be uninsurable and wont be able to be an officer anymore

    Imagine, watching this video, seeing the hospital report of the broken bones, punctured lungs, busted lip, black eye and cuts... and saying to yourself. "All in standard protocols,. No excessive force used". Everyone ( top dog on down) who signed off the initial report must be fired, stripped of ALL benefits, permanently lost of ALL law certifications, and jails for at least one year in state prison. EMTs included. The officer that did the beating, and buried under the prison, also made to repay his salary while he sat at home.

    Over $100K in injuries including 8 broken ribs, a severe concussion, and needing stitches on his lip but the paramedics on scene cleared him to be taken to jail? The paramedics must have gotten their training from a pamphlet in a library rack. Can’t imagine how much they’re getting paid for that level of skilled training and care.

      If he takes a jury trial he will be, his best bet is to take a bench trial. The Judge will then be the sole arbiter of his punishment, and the judge will follow first time offender guidlines, the jury may force max punishment. My guess: He pleas out.

      The whole incident wasn't required from the start. He wasn't in the park after hours, there was no trespassing occurring. Even if there was he (there wasn't) he was not given an opportunity to leave and was in fact prevented from doing so and then assaulted.

They had video of the cop and his cop buddies laughing about it beating her up at the station. The Aurora cops also did not bother to get the old lady medical attention. It is a pattern across the country. Cops beating up and abusing the elderly to get their kicks and then doubling down and not bothering to obtain medical attention for their victims. Then the cops try to cover up and drag out any investigations to avoid being held accountable.

    Those text messages are admission of a crime. Qualified immunity should be revoked and he should be charged as a civilian. This is a perfect example of cops being the sovereign citizens.       About 3 weeks ago I found not 2, not 3, but 4 Phoenix P.D. vehicles parked at a house in a residential neighborhood, all empty, lights off, presumably locked up. It was about 10:30 pm, and the lights were on in a couple houses in the neighborhood. I wasn't brave enough to go ring any doorbells to find out where they were hanging out. I watched, and 25 minutes later, one of the vehicles drove away. I finally left 10 minutes later, and all the other PD vehicles were still there. Lazy, yes, wasting tax dollars, yes, but at least they weren't out terrorizing people.

      If you use a gun for self defense against one cop, you will very shortly need to defend yourself against the rest of the entire department who are every bit as corrupt and tyrannical.
