Good video. I think your jig is great for large production. Personally, I like the quiet shaving process with a plane. To me it’s more in the spirit of the process and can be done outside on a picnic table with the unicorns chasing the butterflies around the pasture. Seriously it is a clever solution to a repetitive task that some would deem tedious. A good alternative for them. Just not necessary for my enjoyment.

A suggestion for your jig, just above the backstops there is about 5mm space you could add measurements from the end so you can set all of your distances before you start to reduce time for set ups
V.3: From the thicker stock: instead of just cutting one angle to fix in place on the jig, cut two. Use one as in this video, and use the second one as an angled stopper. Now you can do multiple pieces of the same length with the same angle all at once! You will need a bit more extra room on the base of the jig, but then you will have more efficient production, which is good for a project where you need hundreds of the same piece. There's no reason not to do 10-20 pieces at a time if you set it up this way, and can secure the work pieces with enough force so that the middle ones do not slip. It helps since this jig pushes the pieces against the stopper anyways. That is my plan for my next big kumiko project. Thank you as always for the incredible content.

I realize this is usually a hand process of fitting each piece but if you have a jig for the angles why not simplify the stop process too.
