      @Philip Sandercock wow!! I have mad respect for you!! It can be so depressing having chronic illness probably why I totally minimized mine. I know how you feel about not doing anything. I barley leave my couch and intimacy lol whats that!! I make makeup videos and thats my "normal" attempt at existence

      @Maturleyglam 5 лет назад +2

      @Philip Sandercock i have Zero energy and some days going to get the mail is my biggest Accomplishment for the day! The depression is so hard and I have tried to end my life many times just to wake up. The worse 1 was taking s bunch of roxycodine and woke up my body felt like it was vibrating. If i get scared or startled the vibrating comes back. I kinda think i messed up my nerves. Other that throwing up for hours i never got checked out. I wonder why im still here all the time. I also have a failed lumbar fusion and 7 herniated disks in my back & 4in my neck. I got run over by a car. I guess im dooned to livw so i try to find some happiness

    Squirmy and grubs were asked by dr.phils team to talk on behalf of disability couples (I'm sorry i dont know the actual name) but they declined because they didnt feel it was because of the man being disable that the couple wasnt working and they made a video about it! I love Dr.phil but he was so wrong!
    I I have congestive heart failure and hypertension cardiomyopathy with an enlarged septum, immune deficiency, IBS, and hinoxslohan's purpura (HSP) or however you spell it, anyways my point is that husband loves taking care of me, he will stay up all night long in the hospital then work a 13hr shift at work. He is an amazing husband and never makes me feel like a burden! People that love each other just work, no matter the obstacles❤

    I have crohns. My fiancé and I have been together for 6 years. I was diagnosed 6 months before I met him. He understands my disease. The good thing is I Havnt had a flare since summer 2016 (on my third biologic medication now). I am so thankful to have him. He supports me in everything. I currently live 5 hours away for PA school and only see him about 4 times a year. I am so thankful I Havnt had a flare up from my stress. A girl the year above me had to have two GI surgeries in her didactic year. She has been a great friend through this schooling too. :)
    I also plan on eventually specializing in GI because of my disease and I am definitely going to do GI as an elective. :)

    Hey Amy!! You are the second person today that talked about the stupid comments Dr Phil made! Not all Americans are that dumb!! I have a non curable auto immune disease that also brought along a tumor that was stage 3B by the time they found it. I have been married forever 10 years now. I have told my husband on a few different occasions that he could leave and I wouldn't hold a grudge. Every time I said that, he said that he wasn't going anywhere. He has dealt with me being on a ventilator for 12 days, 33 sessions for radiation, chemo therapy, and to many doctors appointments to even count! Yes it can be hard, but it can be done!! There really needs to be a hashtag to promote boycotting he's stupid show!! He also says that "when I was in practice this is what Id do. But he hasn't been in practice for over 20 years!!! He just needs to be off the air!! Thanks for doing all of the wonderful videos that you do! I know how it feels to be so fatigued that you can't hardly move.Sorry for the long comment!! Much love to you and Tom! Lots of love from America!!

    My hubby and I have been together for 20 years, I met him 6 months after I was diagnosed. I told him how ill I was and feel free to run away. He didn't. He always said if it came to it and I was to become worse he would quit work to look after me. He stuck to his word. Since my initial diagnosis I have been blessed with many more illnesses along the way! I said my illness brought a lot of friends along with it! 🥴😱 and he's still by my side every step of the way.

    Amy, I'm chronically ill and I have been married for 28 years. He knew i was sick before we got together, but we fell in love and he has been my rock since day one. So what dr. Phil said is BS. As long as the person your with really loves you they will be with you no matter what. I can tell your man really loves you. I think it is so adorable how he worries about you and takes care of you. He reminds me so much of my wonderful husband.

      I have EDS, mast cell, Lupus, chronic Fatigue and POTS and once you accept your sick, you find miracles in the smallest things. For instance, I go into the Hospital and I automatically get my own hospital room because of my illnesses so I get excited about that. Or if I go in for a procedure, I always get spoiled by my doctors because I got a good relationship with my doctors. :P

    I ve been rewatching and watching some older videos anyway I could Not believe that Dr stating an UNTRUE fact about interabled couples... please Amy ignore that statement... especially you and Tom are in love so much it s obvious with the little tidbits of interactions between you both...
    this video is a good example .
    I remember you said in another vlog how both parties need to give it your all... the ill person as well
    50/50. You are correct Amy it s not only physical it is companionship and surprises and gifts of any kind... good deeds for one another
    lifting each other up emotionally.
    When I see Tom help with your bandages after your shower or getting the sterile field for you It brings a tear to my eye it s so sweet of him... he loves you so much I can tell and we can see this from your videos and when you joke around like when you noticed he took his shirt off in the camera and made that cute comment ...
    Tom gets his attention in various ways from his gorgeous girlfriend.
    Never underestimate your worth Amy. You possess three B’s...
    Brave & Brilliant & Beautiful !

  • @rachelchristensen9326
    @rachelchristensen9326 5 лет назад

    I wouldn’t go out once I’d started the prep! I’ve done heaps of them - completely agree they are horrible! Plus the gas they use to do the procedure causes so much pain with my other chronic illnesses i.e. CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome), dystonia, Plus other internal problems - obviously seems I need them - I think that speaks for itself! I’m not going to keep listing conditions as we will beat you all day, so I will leave it at that because there’s many more (never mind the fact that it’s great fun trying to measure stuff when you’ve got less than 3% vision). At least now the private hospital I go to uses the gas that you just breathe out as opposed to the other end which makes it slightly less painful throughout your whole body.. But it’s no fun! Best of luck gorgeous… Your lucky you get to go in & go home the same day (it’s a minimum 3 to 4 days for me Hospital: but considering I spent around 12 months straight in hospital when I was 22-3 or four days I can do in my head!) LOL take care of yourself. Looking after yourself is more important than getting RUclips clips up - I’m in the in the kindest way darling...

    Bowel prep is hideous, I had to do it Sunday for a capsule endoscopy, it makes me ill, I suspect the endoscopy was a fail because my small intestines were not clear, I don't think I can face doing it again, I don't know how others can do it regularly! If you have fast GI motility it might be ok but if it is snail like it makes you pretty ill! Glad you are all done with it.

    when I had to do one of those, I managed to find just pure magnesium citrate (the active ingredient in the prep) without the unnecessary added ingredients which are what make me sick... the mag cit makes you need lots of fluids otherwise you will be dehydrated but you don't get nausea or headaches or anything else if you don't have the aspartame and artificial flavours and other rubbish they put in the prep for some reason which I don't understand... Maybe if you have to do it again you might be able to get pure mag citrate and you might feel less ill with the prep as a result... Certainly works for me anyhow x

    I really feel for you re the colonoscopy, I had a colonoscopy & endoscopy at the same time, but have vowed if I can help it not to have a colonoscopy again. Apart from the dreaded prep five days later I had a stomach bleed, three months later a diverticulitis infection followed by another yet another bleed, so much time in hospital with no real answers.. My stomach& whole GI tract isn't great at the best of times, but it took me close on a year to get my stomach almost back to normal.. Hope you're over the worst & feeling a little better xx

    So Dr Phil being an ass aside, you guys are actually a couple I'd love relationship advice from! What advice would you guys give to a couple looking to move in together?

    Wonderful strong human being. I've also had colonoscopy for various bowel issues so I can sympathise with you on that front! Much love xx

    I hated my prep for my colonoscopy it made me sick dehydrated and couldn't move my lower half for 3-4 days after the procedure because the prep dehydrated me so bad my muscles wouldn't work had to spend 4 days in hospital after the procedure. Next time I have to be admitted to be on constant fluids ☹️ x

    I got a uvular ulcer after my hip surgery from being intubated for 2.5 hours. Never happened before but it was awful, like I kept swallowing it and it was massive!

    Totally understand I am watching after you’ve had your colonoscopy and how you react to aesthetic what’s so funny that’s so cool Man I just don’t wake up it takes me two days I sleep

      Angel Girl it’s funny because at the time I feel like I remember and then the next day I can’t remember at all and Tom just shows me the videos, it’s funny to me how other people react and some don’t at all 😆

    Yeah. Dr Phil sometimes says stupid things. My parents have been together for nearly 30 years and my mum has been chronically ill for nearly 20 of those years. They aren't separating any times soon!

    The doctor who made the comment about couples failing because of chronic illness, have OBVIOUSLY not met you and Tom. You are a lovely couple. I have had 12 colonoscopy’s in my lifetime (I am 50), and I hated every one. They are disgusting! Feel better soon. Sending you lots of warm South African sunshine.

    In your case, since your digestive tract is almost empty, wouldn't an enema (or a few of them) be easier and less painful to do?

    • @kellywils9646
      @kellywils9646 5 лет назад

      Coralie Dubois We would only use an Enema for a flexi sigmoidoscopy, the colonoscopy scope is 5 feet long and can be passed the full 5ft through the colon where it will meet debris from weeks ago, and it’s only 1inch wide so it’s very tricky to pass through the colon without any debris let alone with debris. An enema will only clear out the rectum hence why it’s commonly used for constipation and flexi sigs.

    Oh Amy I'm so sorry they are putting you through this. I can't remember why or what they were trying to accomplish but it seems cruel. I'm glad you seem better and less pain did come from it and they didn't find anything new. Get some rest and take care of yourself.
