As a beginner, access to information as well as professional guidance is key to financial freedom and protection and also knowing how to use that information is another thing. I will advise you get yourself a CFP to work with.
I have be advised to do that, but finding a CFP that understands what I want and builds my portfolio to that effect is what I'm in search of. Any recommendations please?
I sometimes use my ETFs to buy dividend and growth stocks for diversification instead of reinvesting in the same place. To each their own methods though. The good thing is that you’re investing in the first place and that’s what’s important. Salute for the content!
Hearing from an experienced investor who has survived the crisis and prospered is always comforting. It could be worrisome when your portfolio goes from green to red, but if you have invested in strong firms, you should just keep growing them and stick to your goal.
I’m a contractor, and my job doesn’t permit me the time to properly analyze my holdings/evaluate stocks myself, so I’ve had a fiduciary actively restructuring my portfolio for the past 7 years now to match the present market condition and that’s how I’ve been able to stay afloat, knowing when to buy and sell…
Did lots of backtesting and found that 20% SCHD/DGRO, 20% VGT/QQQ/SCHG, 20% VOO, and 40% bonds, or 4%+ money market, match the growth of SP500 in up years but reduce the losses in down years by 40-60%. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $350K portfolio to boost performance. Here for ideas.
I would avoid index funds, mutual funds, and specific stocks for the time being. Right now, the best option is a fixed income of five percent. Put money aside for the times when the market really starts to bounce back. most importantly consider financial advisory for informed buying and selling decisions.
Hey, I'm trying to find a certified one to boost my investments/portfolio, but it's tough online. Can I get a rec from you, since you know about this stuff?
I invest the same way. You are considered an "Income Investor". We make money two ways. Through monthly/quarter dividend payments; instant passive income. Readily available to reinvest and/or personal use. And the profitable sell of most of our DCA securities. Are we on the same page here?
I also did a lot of backtesting. Have you also tested with gold and REITs? Particularly gold impact shocked me. I do less in bonds but added some gold and reits. Key is that we should watch out for recency bias. Last 13 years were uncommonly sttong and US biased.
He actually can't, buuut... On a long historical timeline, Value has provided better returns, but they come in the minority of years. That being said, we have been in a large cap growth bull run for much of the past decade. If value were to catch up, it would provide better returns. If you have a high savings rate and are aiming for a short timeline before drawdown, large cap growth may be a better choice for more consistent performance. That being said, it's all past performance, which may not even resemble historical data.
Simple, easy! May be not the best, but people do not need the perfect one to be financial freedom. The key is to keep investing and doing DCA, you will reach your goal.Well done!
This is the information I wish I would have had when I first started investing. I am not rebuilding my portfolio to focus more on growth with some satellite dividends.
I lost over $80,000 investing in $GME and $BBBY, which was very depressing. Now, with low risk tolerance, I want to invest wisely. I’ve been researching index funds, ETFs, mutual funds, and growth stocks. I want a simple portfolio with about 3 holdings.
I love SCHD and currently own 604 shares. I regularly buy more shares, but I also invest in growth stocks/ETFs. Right now, I focus on growth, but I plan to switch to dividend-paying value stocks/ETFs eventually. It’s advisable to seek guidance from a financial advisor for a well-diversified portfolio instead of relying solely on speculations.
I couldn't agree more on the importance of expert financial guidance! With my demanding schedule, I knew I needed help navigating the stock market. So, I consulted a pro and invested in 2020 during the pandemic. Fast forward four years, and my portfolio has surged to nearly $1 million! It's been a game-changer.
@johnketh Impressive! Mind sharing basic info please. I'm 25, living in Miami, where I've encountered several millionaires, and my goal is to become one as well.
Let me tell you what nobody is going to tell you. Building wealth has never been a one person’s job especially if you are just starting. One of the best choices you can make for your life at this point is to be able to get someone who believes in your growth and will be willing to help you grow. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I will always be grateful for everything you did.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.
I think she trades for everyone I meet. I met her twice at a meeting in Germany and after her lectures from Ella I had to personally ask her to be my financial advisor. she is definitely good.
I have never seen a trader as open and transparent as Larysa Caba with her clients. The way she decides to make a profit for her clients. she allows you to express your fears and she still rests your fears and that is my respect. I don't normally comment on videos, but this word should be included. she is really cool.
This video has been very informative for me. I've been trying to decide between dividend and growth ETFs
I for one prioritize dividend ETFs for consistent income, although growth ETFs offer higher potential returns but comes with risks
This is really complicated, especially for a beginner like me, there are so many moving parts. Any advice?

I agree with that. Going head into a something you know nothing about is just like preparing to fail.

Could you kindly elaborate on the advisor's background and qualifications?
Thank you for this Pointer. It was easy to find your handler, She seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her.

Or just go 100% VOO and forget about it.
I’m 32, my Roth IRA is 50% SCHD, 25% SPLG, 25% SCHG
no need to add schd in roth at your age. however, converting to schd is ideal when closer to retirement.
@ not if your wanting to build up that yield on cost tho
Replace splg with ftec & your portfolio will be unstoppable.
@ little too much overlap with SCHG tho for my taste, but that’s a great ETF tho!
great video but you never answered your question that you posed in your tittle. Can you do that for us? Thank you

With the potential market correction Buffet has prepared for i would recommend a dividend approach. Excellent post, thumbs up and subscribed.
Awesome video! My portfolio is turning into a hybrid of this video and the prior video you did on holding stocks and it's doing very well so far!
Glad it was helpful!
SCHG and QQQM have a 58% overlap. I don't think it's good to have both in a portfolio.
Thank you for this info! Would be interested in your take on FDVV?
So which of them grows wealth the fastest? I was hoping to see comparative backtests and calculations.

Just subscribed...Good info sir. I am 67, retired, but still wanting more growth, but some dividends.
Thanks for the sub!
Just diversify in a global ETF and sell some shares if you need extra cash. Global ETFs have outperformed dividend ETFs
40% BRK, 20% SCHD, 25% SCHG, 15% Forever Compounding Icons. Great stable returns
50% VTI, 30% SCHG, 20% SCHD
The example you gave for dividend etf do eturns include dividend in it?
@@shavyb.7232 yes, the returns include the dividends
This is the information I wish I would have had when I first started investing. I am not rebuilding my portfolio to focus more on growth with some satellite dividends.
If I just return my dividends back into the ETF, would it not be the same as a growth anyway?
How about for children?
aggressive growth funds
SCHD, VOO, QQQM.
Both!
I'm dropping dividends ETFs in favor of growth stocks!
guys the best................ no bs info................. thanks
noop on vxus or any international stocks or etf.

VOO, VGT, SCHD. Dollar-cost averaging into these ETFs will likely outperform most investors.

I looked up his name and found his consulting page. I’ve got to say his credentials are truly impressive! I've scheduled a call to discuss further
Nearly 9 minutes of nothing.
Just buy SCHD and VGT 50/50. SWAN
👍👍
