Thanks for the video. Before you attach the letters, drill a small pilot hole where each little indent is on the trim piece (2 per letter). After you press the letters on, flip it over and you can put a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue into the holes. It will seep into the hole and make the bond between letter and trim piece. I also used tiny flat head screws to affix each letter from the back. The screw head sticks up less than the 3M tape, so it does not cause any issues with fit. I think with the glue and screw plus tape the letters will stay on.
Just installed one, but the tape on the black plastic cover came apart after only a couple of hrs. now it's being held in place only on one side. When I find the time, I will have to add more double-sided tape to make it stay in place. Not as seamless as it seems on the video.
Thanks for the great video!! For me, 4 lower out of those 6 plastic tabs just wont pop out. Inserting the flat head part of a screw driver does lift them up but they refuse to pop out, all 4 of them. Fear I will end up breaking them if I pull on them too hard. Any suggestions?
I have a 2023 4runner. When i was installing i notice that the upper grill (you provided) doesnt fit my radiator bracket and upper bumper. Emailed customer service. Waiting for response.
None of the holes match up well they match up however they don’t reach down to where the holes originally are you have to use a longer screw if you have one I just took my whole grill apart to put that thing on and it was nothing but parts that didn’t work together it is not made for a Toyota SR5. I believe it’s probably made for the Trd pro models or the off-road models not sure but it’s definitely not working for a 2022 SR5 premium.
Those little plastic clips that hold the plastic grill apron on are the shittiest pieces of hardware ever. Pretty much all of mine broke putting them back in. My 4Runner is six years old so they had become brittle I guess.
I just got mine and my order was missing the letters that were supposed to be with it, plus the grille piece the lettering goes on is way too short. Customer service is impossible to get a hold of too. I’m disappointed I spent 200 dollars for something that isn’t even right as well as missing parts that I purchased with it

Doesn't work for 2022 TRD offroad. The center bracket is different than pictured and doesn't fit with your grill. Your new grill doesn't fit the painted portion. Only fits on the outer edges.

Yes it will! if for any reason you have any issues (which isn't likely these are pretty universal and thats a model thats covered) you can always reach our support team :)
Don’t waste your money on this product. You’re going to have to paint the grill yourself, and the grill isn’t deburred properly. Also there’s creases on the grill and it doesn’t look OEM.
This! I just tried to install it and it doesn’t fit. All of the holes doesn’t align well and I ended up breaking one of the four clips at the top of the grill. Don’t waste your money, bruh I’m so fuckin pissed right now I’ll just spend the $600-$700 and get the OEM grill.

Yes. That's alot. I'm looking proooauto for the trd pro grill aftermarket. Comes with the letters. I emailed them to see if there are holes or something to line up the lettering, so it won't come out crooked. They also have the raptor lights. For around $155.
The nibs on the grille do line up in a specific order meaning the first T in Toyota fits in the first location and will cause issues if used as the second T. If there's any issues please reach out to sales@4runnerlifestyle.com

What if you are trying to replace stock silver letters with another color. how do stock letters come off?
There's some adhesive that holds them in place, if you heat it up slightly you should be able to just pick them off and replace them

sorry to hear you're having these issues, I can assure you that the grilles do fit pretty seamlessly and the raptor lights do work on all models

I know this comment is two years old. I had the same issue and had to lean on either side of the center bar of the grill to get it to adhere.
I had to drill two screws on the bottom of the grill bar to keep the ends from peeling and popping out

what is the difference at your store between the 2020-2022 and the 2014-2019 grill?, I taught there was no difference
The angles are just slightly different, the upper mesh piece isn't quite the same so the earlier year
version wont fit the newer 4runners.

The tss plate helps with the left/right alignment gap issue.
My letters didn’t come with the 3 mm tape on the back of them. I was wondering why? Also I was wondering why don’t the letters already come assembled?
If you want to spend $500+ for the oem from the dealers go right ahead, even the OEM ones are made in china.
