I am am 87 year old Londoner and am horrified at these scenes. Before the days of mass tourism the buildings and,more importantly the guards at Horse Guards were treated with great respect and awareness of their importance . Nobody,I repeat nobody would have dreamt of invading their personal space ,of mocking the troopers and treating them like escapees from a Disney film.I am only too aware that the genii cannot be put back in the bottle but some limitation on numbers must be put in place.🏴🇬🇧
I remember when I first visited this site, visitors were respectful of the Guards and horses. We kept a safe distance, without anyone, apart from our parents, having to tell you.
The King of the Royal Guard and Horses guard are just displaying the beautiful history of London . The tourists are really ridiculous and not grow up, and learn nothing. And should not be mockery on them. The people are a toxic life. SMH. The Horses guard are hate their conceit and ridiculous laughing. SICKO!
Amazingly ridden by the trooper. Lovely soft seat and hands. Calm and giving praise to calm the horse. Fantastic to see the horses are put first. Any horse can stress for unknown reasons. 100% did the right thing closing down. Too risky with that amount of people. Our troopers and horse deserve the upmost respect and love ❤
If they got hurt,would they sue? The message clear on the boards. do they need to have it written in 10 ti 14 languages? Respect our English . Read signs.

I visited London and went to Horsegueards several times since 1951. and never saw "Bad behaviour never once. people where respectful and never behaved like they do present day.
I am so glad that they made the box,but it is a shame that they had to because of all the idiot people that do not know how to behave.They do not respect the Guard or the horses, how would they react to people or animals rushing towards them, they would not like it one bit use your head.
Even well trained horses can have melt downs. With all of the different smells, it can be distressing to them. From the way they are closing down the visiting area, the horses know when it is quiting time is and is ready to be done!

Why are the guards out on saturday when there is all these palistian marches going on can't go shopping up the city. Why put the horses out. It's not fair.
The whole place is heaving people…..I would stop all that public area and make them walk around….no public in the front or arch ways. The public will ultimately spoil it for themselves. I hope a they ban on all but serving military and guards. Both guards and horses are too vulnerable to the constant flow of people, the noise and endless chatter etc. NO to any public and let’s get back to the elegance of the whole thing.
An older video popped up in my feed and I didn't realize it was four months old. It was in August...the last summer rush and it was twice this mob. The video was coming from the tunnel to the front gate!😱😱😱 People were all dodging each other, they looked hot and miserable. It was before the box started and people were mauling the horses. The troopers seem to have the discretion then to direct people away from the horse, but the attitude seemed to let them be. I found it horrifying. I would not have bothered visiting and turned around and left! I'm so glad they have the box now. It's really much better than it was. Today was busier than most days in the fall.

Think it is terrible to put working military and there working animals on display like some kind of circus attraction! Can you imagine joining the military and used like a circus performer or an attraction like Disney land. This is the only military that does this! It’s absolutely disgraceful! Have a museum to tour telling your history!
As for respect that went by the board when babies lives were terminated in the womb. When that was allowed children grew up thinking it was okay and what did it matter. But it did because human life was no longer seen as sacred(which it is). So children started abusing people because their parents were not afraid to get unwanted children destroyed at the earliest stages.
I feel so sad when I see what these poor horses have to deal with; you can tell that the herd of cows who are wanting to take pics with the royal guard and their majestic horses is pure stress for these majestic animals. I can't stand huge crowds as a human, can you imagine how the horses feel.
