Una de las costumbres más importantes del distrito de Quiñota - Chumbivilcas, el arariwa Rosas Huamani y esposa Vicentina Pfara, son los principales encargados de realizar el pago a la madre tierra para la buena producción del maiz, esta actividad se realiza cada año en las festividades de los carnavales en la quebrada de Parqora. Es una de las tradiciones que ha pasado de generación en generación hasta nuestros días. Donde se rinde culto a la madre tierra, el pago a la Pachamama consiste en armar una mesa simbólica donde se coloca las ofrendas para la tierra, esto se arma de forma específica por el paqo quien lo realiza de forma muy respetuosa, ya que esta ceremonia es de suma importancia para el hambre andino y su productividad de sus alimentos. Para dicho pago llevan uñas (ovejas, llamas y alpacas) como ofrenda a la madre tierra, acompañado de la banda cajaypincullo y su hermosa qhaswa. posteriormente hace el pago a la Pachamama quemando las ofrendas y enterrando directamente en la tierra.
Al finalizar, las personas que acompañaron comparten el t’impu y su chicha de jora. Al culminar bailan con algarabía en las melodías de los instrumentos de viento de cajaypinkullos.
