  • After driving my car with my upgraded suspension, brakes and tires I quickly realized the stock seats were not going to give me the support I needed. Good thing seats are a easy 4 bolt swap!
    These new Braum Advan cloth seats are fantastic. They hold me in place, look great as they are red and match my interior pretty well...and they are also reclinable!

    Looking good! You need a 5-speed. Love the tire and wheel combination.

      Thanks Tony, I appreciate it! If the TXK would of been available I probably would of bought that. It does have a Gear Vendors behind the og 4 speed which is pretty kool

    Love the direction you’re taking with this build! Great to see how far it’s come from when you first got it!

    Great great upgrade. You have to have nice seats not only for you but your passenger needs to enjoy ride. Cloth is only way to go for temperature comfort in very hot or very cold weather.

    Yeah man ..shit like seats and even the steering wheel make a significant difference in the driving experience of a performance car 😮

      They sure do, I couldn't drive it with the original seats after all the suspension and brake mods

      @@backyardhotrods9885 see lots of people in comments complaining about firm racing style seats ...I think it's awesome 😎 👍

    I found some XV Racing Products 3-Point Retractable Belt- but it's black. That fixed shoulder belt is a pain!

    The red seats look awesome in the cuda. You inspired me to get some black ones for the challenger. Will you be looking into upgrading the seatbelts?

      thanks man! I really am liking them. Totally changes the feel when driving which is what I wanted/NEEDED! My friend just messaged me about some schroth makes a 4 point that is suppose to work with the factory belt locations...so I need to look into that.

      @Dadmod_73cuda Год назад +1

      Looks like I need to look into the schroth or whatever for this new seatbelt option. This really opens up my options for seats if you can get a 4 pt harness

      @@Dadmod_73cuda Yeah, I know guys have gone that route for auto X before. Not sure I want to use a 4 pt for street driving without a roll bar. It gets a little complicated

    Just noticed this video on the seat situation ' those look like they will hold you in well 'not a bad colour match either. Do you use the seatbelts that come down from the roof ? or just a lap belt ?I've always been dubious about the safety of lap belts and more so 'since seeing the Autotopiala video of the crashed Comet 'if you've seen that? I've seen a lap and sash belt kit for Mustangs ' not sure about other models ' but lap and sash is safer.👍

      So far I’m just using the lap belts. I know there is a performance company that makes some belts with options that can bolt in I will look into later on

    Seats look great. How do you think they will be on a longer trip? I've been trying to keep my 70 Challenger interior stock appearing but after seeing your video I'm giving it serious thought. I drove my car from Toronto to Carlisle for the Mopar Nationals last summer and it was not very comfortable. And like you say it's a quick swap if you want to put the old seats back in!

      @backyardhotrods9885  Год назад

      Thanks, we’ll they can’t be worse then stock lol. I think they will be much better but will need some extended seat time

  • @dahut3614
    @dahut3614 Год назад +1

    They seem very narrow- is it harder to get-in now? Would there be room in the center for my leather textured plastic console?

    • @backyardhotrods9885
      @backyardhotrods9885  Год назад +1

      Website says they fit up to a 38" waist....I'm a 32" and fit comfy with a little wiggle room. They measure 20" width at the bottom which is a little narrower than my factory seats so I think a console would be fine 👍

  • @HalJalikakik
    @HalJalikakik Год назад

    I think they look real good in the car and clearly a functional upgrade. Do they give you better adjustment sliding back and forth? I have my factory seats all the way back in my '74 Challenger and still would like to slide it back another inch or two (not a tall guy either).

    • @backyardhotrods9885
      @backyardhotrods9885  Год назад

      Thank you! Lots of adjustment actually. There are different locations on the seat bracket itself. Im 5’9” so I used the more forward position on the seat bracket and it’s still in the middle of the slider adjustment.

    That’s a terrible look in a classic car

    • @backyardhotrods9885
      @backyardhotrods9885  Год назад +1

      Sorry you feel that way…. It’s a matter of function as the stock seats offer no support after all my suspension mods. And a easy 20 minute swap to put the factory seats back in👍
