Esmeralda exemplifies the best of humanity. I love the way the animators juxtaposed her humble wishes to the proud and vainglory wishes of the noble class. We should all take a leaf out of Esmeralda's book.
"I ask for wealth, I ask for fame. I ask for glory to shine on my name." Scary how modern churches act like this, but so does our government and schools and businesses. The bible says " God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Those religious people in this video were nowhere near being humble in their prayers and denied God through their actions of showing favortism for the elite, the rich, and denied those seeking help humbly. Jesus said: "Whatever you have done for the least of my people you have done for me." The Bible says "God shows no favoritism" it also means his children shouldn't either. When Esmeralda says "All God's children" she assumes All Humans deserve salvation when in fact "all have fallen short, there is none good no not one." we all can have a corrupt mind if we want. We all at some point have given in to our greed our wrath or lust or envy. We've all broken the law. God's law. But the cross is the reason. What is talked about every easter though... There is hope. There is love. There was a debt paid. The law was fulfilled with ALL human interaction with five words from God's word. Every movement, every revolution, every company policy is fulfilled in five words. "Love your neighbor as yourself." Not mere coincidences. Not by chance. By a divine. By an absolute. Just, Righteous, Holy, And Merciful, Loving and compassionate. Like a true Father should be.
+Kristine Plange God bless you! :-) Yes I try to be blameless like the scripture says but it does get tough. Stay strong and keep fighting the good fight of faith! :-)
Rudy Limas Thank you so much! I'm the same with trying to be more and more like Jesus, it can be hard sometimes can't it? But our God is awesome and his heart is steady ☺ God bless you too for your lovely words and stay strong :-)
I believe that a lot of "christians" tend to forget everyone is the child of God. Gay, Straight, White Black, Purple etc They forget the love that were supposed to give to everyone
Are you judging against the purple?! Are you racist against the purple?! .. however, with all joking aside, i'm the type of person that doesn't care about that shit. You are who you are, and if you respect me, I will respect you. Seriously though, purple. xD
It is true that many Christians forget to love others. There are to many judgemental Christians out there. Being a Christian is not about having religion, it's really about loving God and loving others. And showing others the love God gave. This song is very true even a song that the outcast sings is more powerful than what the Christians are singing. In this very song we see the Christians being selfish and wanting worldly pleasures like money, fame, fortune. While the non-Christian clearly cares more for others than she does herself. That is God wants to see. Not like Frollo who chose lust and murder being selfish and turning his back on God. So we see that God turned his back on Frollo.
as a Christian I agree but God and the Bible helps us to correct these mistakes. Also, remember that the world was a patriarchy society back that where white was favored over black and men over women, very unlike the world today. Also France is and was catholic which is a branch of Christianity that still has a hard time excepting female priests. Sorry about ranting btw... sometimes I just get carried away. Bye
I'm Roman Catholic, and I do believe in God, but I respect ALL religions, no matter who you are, or what you believe in. :) And I can easily say, I love this song. And with the part "I ask for wealth, I ask for fame." I love that part, since I feel like a lot of people ask God or someone for fame and money and to be rich, instead of looking at everything they already have and what they already possess.
People tend to twist Religion into something manipulative and complicated. They turn religion into a reason to hate someone and criticise others. Religions teach people to be the best version of them, like being kind, selfless, Disciplined, etc... And people who seek power tend to bend the rules of religion just giving it a bad reputation. Before you say something that could possibly offend someone, please find a legitimate reason to. ps. As long as someone's opinion isn't hurting anyone, there is no reason to start a fight.
+Nurul Izzah Sadly you're right. I'm afraid people who get religion wrong are just those people who have never given themselves a chance to read what it tries to teach humanity. Those who haven't read it claim it is about confusing society and leading them astray. Those words are nothing but conjecture. In reality, God teaches us about tolerance, obedience, love, trust, justice, forgiveness and mercy. He told us to refrain from sin because of the consequences that come with them such as alcohol, drugs, bribery, lust, and sexual immorality. Most of all, it teaches us about righteousness by obeying the morals established by God. It is morals that separate us from animals and helps us prosper throughout generations. God would never make these rules if it didn't produce results.
She begins the song with " I don't know if you can hear me or if you're even there" and continues to humble her self with out it being to humble braggy. " I ask for nothing. I can get by."
the underlying message is still there: helping the marginalised, whcih definitely sits with us to this day. thats why i loved prince of egypt so much, even those i am completely atheistic
I feel you, I'm not at all a religious person, and not even that faithful but that song is arguably beautiful. It conveys a lot of emotions that many Christians lack of nowadays. Like mercy, nonjudgmental, understanding, humbleness and love.
I am an atheist and I love this song.Especially the part "I thought we were all children of god"And to the Atheist who are being Assholes in the comments. Saying "Hey god if you actually exist, why aren't you fucking helping people?! You are doing a really bad job!" Yo stop. Seriously you saying those kinds of things. You are just as bad as the Christians who say "God doesn't love you because -insert unchristian thing here-"I respect all religions. As long as you are happy in what you believe in. You are perfect! But if you decide to shove your opinion on religion. You shouldn't be happy with what you are doing. If someone bashes your religion, it's simple. Walk away and don't pay attention to the religion trolls!~Anyways I hope you have all a great day!
Makes sense, i may believe in multiple gods but when people are jerks about it, i just wish they would keep their stupid mouths shut and let everybody live their own life
+PlanetaryMoe Earth thank you for the advice. But i once saw a comment saying that Jesus sucks his father dick. I was just so ANGRY THAT I WANTED TO PUSH THE BIBLE DOWN HIS THROAT until he understood. But that wouldnt do any good. I think that it would have done more harm.
im a Wiccan but my family is Christian and I totally agree with this why judge others just because what they believe in and I completely love this movie and this song
I absolutely agree with this. I'm agnostic but my family is Christian, and I don't give a rats ass as to what other people believe as long as they don't try to force it on me or anyone else ^_^
I'm a Christian, and I cannot stand "Christians" who give us a bad rap for shit like that. God actually calls Christians to love and respect others and not bash them for believing something different.
"I ask for nothing, I can get by" I always find it so moving how Esmerelda is trapped and potentially facing death, and while everyone is praying for personal gain, she doesn't pray for herself, she prays for others. She prays for the people who will never receive kindness and mercy from people on earth, in the hopes that God will care for them.
Esmeralda is flawless. Not just in looks, but in personality as well. Not many are as strong and kind as her. We need more people like her in the world.❤️
This is literally my song. I'm at college and I'm switching to another room because my roommates hate me for some reason and all 5 of them gang up on me to try to get me into trouble and I literally walk through the halls of my dorm singing this song over and over, because I literally am an outcast to these "Christian" girls. So this is my life song and my favorite song of all time anyway
You realize we believe in the same God as you right? I don't know about the people you interacted with, but they were probably hypocrites, not Christians.
This song shows how vain and greedy humanity really is. That's why I listen to it so I could learn something. Humans are just so evil, even now we are injustice to people who actually need justice and to be seen as an equal to everyone
I feel like people have warped religion to fit their personal needs. i see so many people who claim to be christian yet behave so shamelessly i wonder if they truly understand what Christianity is.
I agree. There are many intolerant bigots who claim to be Christian when they have never experienced the love of God for themselves. In fact, Jesus, in His time on Earth, loved all people and it's rather evident in the Bible. He healed lepers, restored sight to the blind, and spoke directly to the people others would have avoided making eye contact with. The Bible is a complex thing, so read it carefully and with discernment.
what gives it a lot of power is that Esmeralda is asking for God to help and protect not only her people but all those who are struggling while the rest of the parishioners are asking for god to give them wealth, riches, love and other very selfish reasons.
+Treble Maker Going through the school here in the U.S. or the place in France? I've been to there in France and loved every moment of it. I couldn't help but think of this story when walking through the cathedral.
I hope Notre Dame is doing better after that fire. I read online it's being rebuilt to it's former glory. So that's good, I don't understand why would someone be fool enough to burn it down.
Elizabet Penaloza well there's Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Dinosaur, The rescuers, the rescuers down under, mary poppins, 20000 miles under the sea, old yeller, saving Mr banks, Ducktales movie, A goofy movie, every marvel movie, the great mouse detective... just to name a few :p
The most selfless prayer in a song... Sends shivers down my spine. When she walked through the candles and the selfish prayers while raising their hands it made me reflect on my own prayers. Esmeralda measured my soul through this song..
doesn't anyone realize that those who want to use this movie as an excuse to question the existence of God or why he "abandoned those in need" should look further than this point? the movie isn't over. In the whole God does deliver the outcasts and they become outcasts no more. it's those who want to whine about why me or why not when I ask who don't see what He does do or why he may not silver spoon feed some ppl. those hurt most in life usually have the greatest to give to others. So stop blaming God because everything isn't rainbows and roses. Even they come with thorns and rain.
I love the part, "I'm just an outcast, I shouldn't speak to you, still I see your face and wonder: were you once an outcast, too?" It's so touching, and sad, because in that time there was a cultural divide that kept the peasants from seeking god, that you had to pay to have your sins forgiven and someone in power had to speak for you. Yet, when Jesus was on earth, he was a poor man, and often looked down on for his message that everyone should be regarded as a child of god, no matter who. He was an outcast, and specifically called to people like Esmerelda, but in that time period, things like that weren't elluded to for the sake of money, power, and control via the church. It's just beautiful when she speaks directly to Jesus, echoing his teachings, while lost and unaware of what he stood for.
This song really got to me when I was little, because of how friendless and "alone" I was. It still gets me, even though the friend situation has gotten better.
I think this song is a message to all of humanity that there people unjustly suffering in the world and as human beings we have to do something about it!
This movie is one of the most beautiful Disney films ever made, and this song carries such a lovely message. This is truly Disney at it's best: uplifting, strengthening, setting an example for the younger audiences...all done in a movie that is truly timeless and universal. I am in awe at this wonderful film.
Kind of like saying 'Don't long for the ole day's'. I hear a little bit of wisdom in that and I believe God has impressed this upon my heart. Thank you. Age doesn't change anything. You can be three, thirteen, or ninety three, and change is something you have to deal with at every age.
if you think about it.... take this song and put it to this era.... all the kids who are considered " outcasts " in school or adults in work areas..... this song could mean hope for them....
I think of it the same way. I really relate to the "I ask for nothing, I can get by..." part, because I think about myself as having escaped, just barely, from that pure living hell that was the first eight years of my education, due to bullying. I fought hard and emotionally saved myself...sort of. But there are many "less lucky than I", who aren't as stubborn as I am and need some help, "my people" who "look to you still", whoever "you" might be.
This is one of the most beautiful and meaningful songs out there. Regardless of what you believe in, this song puts it straight, we're all the same and deserve the same respect and love.
I NEED to watch this movie again... My memory of this is so small... Need to see if father has the movie.. That is my mission for the rest of the week.
When I was little this song was just a song that I'd sing to but now I see it as the truth. That we should value what we have even if it's not a lot and instead pray for others. This song and the entire movie is so deep. I was shocked when none of my friends had ever heard of it or even the second Notre dame
Jeez, guys, listen to yourselves! All this arguing about whose religion is 'right' and who is best! You are all human, what matters more than that? Accept people for who they are. As hard as it is, if someone has a different viewpoint to you, listen to WHY they have that viewpoint before you judge them. The character singing this song sings about selflessness, about wanting others to be better off with very little care for herself, because she knows others are struggling. Take a leaf from her book, and learn people. Sometimes, a smile can be healing. It doesn't matter if you say your cause is God or Allah or the Divine Light or Mother Nature or merely a want to do good, do good! Be good by showing compassion, and not jumping to the defensive because someone is different. It is exactly what this song is about. But, that is my opinion. Anyone want to shoot me down? Got a better idea? Tell me.
I may never have met you before, but I believe such good viewpoint can only be found in the heart of a good man. It's good to know that there are still good man like you out there, my friend.
I think a lot of people need to listen to this song, and I love the part when she sings, I thought we were ALL The children of God. Beautiful song from a great movie.
Esmeralda is goals. like if she was a real person she'd be gorgeous. I can't wait to dye my hair almost black after I do the lavender. I already have green eyes so the dark hair would just make them pop
People get her age wrong(I did too at one point) Esmeralda is 16 years old, while true she's very level-headed for her age I understand why people thought she was 20. Then again it makes Frollo's obsession with her even more creepy. I remember as a child, I didn't understand why was Frollo acting so weird on Esmeralda for. Then fast forward some years to me being the same age as Esmeralda and I'm like,"Oh now I get it. Ew he's a old pedophile."
Every time I listen to this, the memories of walking in Italian cities emerge...I know the background of the story is Notre Dome in Paris, but I just can't help thinking about the time visiting many glorious church while there're some gypsy people outside.
This song gives me chills when I hear it... It's so moving and sad. Makes you think back about how the older disney songs actually had feeling to them.... (I.E. High School Musical, Hannah Montana) But anyways, I digress... This song is amazing and she had such a great voice. ♥
I’m working on this song for an open min in nyc.. my heart hurts every time I sing it.. Iv seen so much these past two years on the streets of my city.. Iv been through a lot as a single moma.. but still I know there’s people out there who have been through worse .. I can relate to this so much it brings me to tears.. I really do pray for everyone 🙏🏼
aww. this song is so heart warming and touching. makes you sorta sad... luv this song and the movie too. thanks for uploading (especially with the movie scene with lyrics, that's awesome) :)
This song is beautiful:') we are all outcasts and we are all children of God this song shows us the truth as does many others but songs can't change a person the person has to achieve and be a better person for the world
I am completely mesmerized right now. I've never understood as a child, that Esmeralda was not singing for herself at all, but for everyone who's in need of help. I'm from Sweden, and this is my favotite movie. The swedish version is so beautiful in any way, but this version is so much more clear and honest.
i love hearing that. I love god but I accept every religion or lack of religion. its good that there isn't a fight about religion. songs about god can be loved by everyone. you may not believe in the message, but it doesn't matter.
I appreciate how they made Esmerelda so selfless and how she doesnt ask for anything for herself like the other higher class people, but she prays for the well being of her people, and realizes there are others that are less fortunate then she is.
It's a beautiful and powerful song! And like mellofangs said before me, the song isn't about religion at all! Yes, she says "God" but what she really means is that everybody is equal, and that she's caring about the less fortunate or lucky than her. She realizes how much some people, even if they sometimes think they do "what God want" are selfish and thinking only for themselves. Regardless to if you're atheism or if you believe in God, this song is wonderful and meaningful. Good night.
I am an outcast, but that's not my fault. That is society's view on how a person should be. I watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame for the first time today and this song moved me almost to tears. So, are you going to tell me that God hates me? I KNOW God loves me. God loves EVERYONE, no matter who they are, he might not approve of what they do but nonetheless he loves them. I am a strong Christian, I've gone to church for 4 years, yet I am an outcast because of the way I look and my personality.
god never left you, you just have to listen more, the world has gotten a lot louder , it's hard to hear when you cannot listen, but i assure you god has never left you, most of the time he gives you a tickling feeling in your heart to show you he hears you, have you noticed it when you spoke to him?
@MiniDebz I agree. I'm in the upper middle class myself and would give up much to be closer to God. Oh, if only the wealthy in the church would see that! God help us all; we need it desperately!
Music and stories like this one makes me reflect on my past, but it also makes me wiser towards the future we're all heading into. I appreciate this very much. C:
THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT! My goodness, I have been trying to tell people this simple concept. Finally, someone who believes as I do! This made my day.
God told us to teat others as we would like to be treated and to love our neighbours. So many people ignore this just because those who are homosexual are commiting a sin. But I think that there is a difference between homosexuals and those who practice it. I mean, we can't help who we like, but we can help what we do. If we remember that, it might feel easier to love them for some people that can't bring themselves to do it, even if they practice it. I believe that God sticks by us to the end.
This song is great. I may not be a huge believer of religion, in fact, I believe that there may or may not be a God, but either way we're on our own. Either way, we have to make miracles happen for ourselves. But this is a great song with a good message.
man walked at the beach, and Jesus was walking with him. man looked back from where they had been coming, and saw his own footprits on the sand. And alongside his footsteps were jesus' footsteps. but when he looked them more closely, he saw that that some points there was only a pair of footstep instead of two. he asked from jesus: "Why did you leave me when i had hard time in my life?" Jesus looked at him and said: "I didn't leave you. When you had hard time in your life, i caried you."
"I ask for nothing, I can get by" ALWAYS gets me. Such a beautiful movie
I'm always wowed at how complex this film is. Definitely Disney's most underrated.
Patrick John actually was pre-disney...before Dreamworks were bought off by Disney...at a later time.
+Daniel De La Rosa actually, this was Disney. Its not a DreamWorks film. look it up
We have farting gargoyles to thank for that. If they thought this movie needed gargoyles why couldn't they just give us Goliath and his clan?
Disney didn't write the movie... Its based on an even better novel
Esmeralda exemplifies the best of humanity. I love the way the animators juxtaposed her humble wishes to the proud and vainglory wishes of the noble class. We should all take a leaf out of Esmeralda's book.
that’s a lot of big complicated words and it’s been a while since i’ve gone to physical school 😂
Yes she goes a different way while they ask for petty requests her notions are pure
While the others were asking for selfish things she was asking for help for the outcasts, not for herself.
I love line " I thought we all were the children of god"
That line always brings me to tears.

I just happen to be Atheist and this has to be the most well written paragraph someone has written about God.
I am no where near religious and try to avoid it but this is beautiful

My Gosh I haven't watched Hunchback of Notre Dame for years. I never realized there was such a beautiful song in there, with such touching lyrics.
I'm an agnostic/athiest but I absolutely love this song. It's so beautiful and sad, and I just wanna cry whenever I hear it
Same, who doesn't
its because it goes beyond any religion. It touches on having compassion to another human being. I love this song!

Interesting fact: this almost ended up on the cutting room floor! wouldn't be the same without it
I really like the archdeacon because his faith is what makes him pure, he isn’t overzealous, and he lives by this law “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”

Esmerelda has really pretty eyes, I seriously can't stop staring at them.
She's a cartoon, mate
You don't say..
Drawings can have intense looking and striking features as well. It's kinda what draws people to art.
ValkyrieCain123 I was joking don't worry lol I'm not completely ignorant
some girl Ah sorry ^^; it's hard to tell sometimes through type.
I can see why my comment probably looked a bit weird re-reading it :P so it's fine :)
I majestically walked through Notre Dame belting this song
+Treble Maker Going through the school here in the U.S. or the place in France? I've been to there in France and loved every moment of it. I couldn't help but think of this story when walking through the cathedral.
Treble Maker:goal. Added to bucket list. Except I'm adding a goat.
I hope Notre Dame is doing better after that fire. I read online it's being rebuilt to it's former glory. So that's good, I don't understand why would someone be fool enough to burn it down.
I think this might be the only Disney movie not about a prince or princess, or any royalty lol
Duc, Kida is a princess.
The Sun sure but i guess you see my point, with the whole "Only Disney without a princess evar" of the first comment.
Mkay
Technically, Thor and Loki are princes, Odin is a king and Frigga is a queen, so there is royalty in most of the marvel movies.
I saw this movie as a child and the powerful message this song has completely went past me. So beautiful
The moment you realize a kids film from Disney has more to say about Christianity and faith than most modern movies about Christianity
The visual symbolisms in this song are as strong as the music and lyrics...
Guys, it's a disney video. Do we really have to be arguing about religion and beliefs?
This song really got to me when I was little, because of how friendless and "alone" I was. It still gets me, even though the friend situation has gotten better.
I think this song is a message to all of humanity that there people unjustly suffering in the world and as human beings we have to do something about it!
Love it !!!! so holy and peaceful I hope everyone can get blessed
Thank you. Finally someone portraying the right message. God Bless.
This song is so nice and pretty ☺️
It's such a beautiful song! It's been stuck in my head for days now. Still great after all these years, and so PRETTY! I never noticed as a kid.
oh god was truly an outcast, people threw stones at him and screamed crucify
"I ask for nothing, I can get by. But I know so many less lucky than I" one of the endless reasons why I love Esmeralda.
Exactly, Kari. Spot on
I love this song so much
I am always moved by this song, of the poignancy of feeling like an outcast. But even more emotional is the compassion for others it instills.
I was shocked when none of my friends had ever heard of it or even the second Notre dame
it makes me cry when I sing along. She has such a beautiful song and it's an amazing lyrically piece.
Tell me.
I agree with you. Humans are all the same. We will never be perfect.
The case to say, God help the outcasts!
Thank you.
I may never have met you before, but I believe such good viewpoint can only be found in the heart of a good man. It's good to know that there are still good man like you out there, my friend.
even though I'm not religous, this song touches me deeply. Lyrics full of meaning and beautiful voice. Love it.
I always feel bad when I hear this song. I feel so selfish now
I think a lot of people need to listen to this song, and I love the part when she sings, I thought we were ALL The children of God. Beautiful song from a great movie.
This song makes me cry EVERY SINGLE TIME anyone else relate?
This song is entirely and hauntingly beautiful. I can't help but to cry.
Esmeralda is goals. like if she was a real person she'd be gorgeous. I can't wait to dye my hair almost black after I do the lavender. I already have green eyes so the dark hair would just make them pop
Look beyond the superficial.
Mr Relmz I know and I do. But I'm just saying she's really pretty. She's one of my favorite Disney characters because of how strong she is
I totally agree with to you. I would like to be selfless and brave and strong as she is
People get her age wrong(I did too at one point) Esmeralda is 16 years old, while true she's very level-headed for her age I understand why people thought she was 20.
This song may work for the homeless and prisoners in the world. I played this song on the 🎹 twice at home. 👏🏻 👍🏻 if you definitely agree with my 💡.
Such a beautiful song...
this will NEVER get old
I’m working on this song for an open min in nyc.. my heart hurts every time I sing it.. Iv seen so much these past two years on the streets of my city.. Iv been through a lot as a single moma.. but still I know there’s people out there who have been through worse .. I can relate to this so much it brings me to tears.. I really do pray for everyone 🙏🏼
This part always made me tear. Its a beautiful song
aww. this song is so heart warming and touching. makes you sorta sad... luv this song and the movie too. thanks for uploading (especially with the movie scene with lyrics, that's awesome) :)
You (We) were and will always be the dearest children of God.
I am an atheist but I can respect that this song has such a deep meaning and I love it.
You know what, I'm an agnostic atheist and I don't believe in god. But still, I really love this song!
Same here.
And here.
i love hearing that. I love god but I accept every religion or lack of religion. its good that there isn't a fight about religion. songs about god can be loved by everyone. you may not believe in the message, but it doesn't matter.
You my kind sir are fantastic.
Kudos to you! :3 Its great to hear that! I love God but I am glad that you enjoy a song that everyone can enjoy :3
I appreciate how they made Esmerelda so selfless and how she doesnt ask for anything for herself like the other higher class people, but she prays for the well being of her people, and realizes there are others that are less fortunate then she is.
I keep singing this and listening to this everysecond of the week thus far. I can't believe I just watched the hunchback of notredame.
Why is this beautiful song not more viewed its beautiful
This is the only song EVER to make me feel guilt and I truly love it for that...
god never left you, you just have to listen more, the world has gotten a lot louder , it's hard to hear when you cannot listen, but i assure you god has never left you, most of the time he gives you a tickling feeling in your heart to show you he hears you, have you noticed it when you spoke to him?
You are such a wonderful person, I can't even fathom...
I agree with you completely. You couldn't have said it better.
@MiniDebz I agree. I'm in the upper middle class myself and would give up much to be closer to God. Oh, if only the wealthy in the church would see that! God help us all; we need it desperately!
I love this song. It's so true..even truer with today.
God she has such a good voice it's like WOW I can relate to that
You sir deserve not only more likes...You deserve to be the Pope!
she is my fav
Ive only seen the second film. I need to watch this one. This song just made me virtually cry.
No, l'm not crying...
Now l need to listen "Hellfire" 🔥
Anyone noticed that Quasimodo’s eyes are green in “the hunchback of Noter dame” but they we blue in “the hunchback of Noter dame 2”?
I always get goosebumps when I listen to this.
I always want to cry when I hear this song, such a good film.
this song helped me fall in love with this movie :)
i love the fact that she hugs a goat when the song ends
This song is great. I may not be a huge believer of religion, in fact, I believe that there may or may not be a God, but either way we're on our own. Either way, we have to make miracles happen for ourselves. But this is a great song with a good message.
Thank you so much
HoND has some of my favorite soundtracks.
After watching what is happening to Allepo, I couldnt help but think of this song
God speaks to all Esmeralda... if only I could tell you this. God loves all. You are His child. And yes... He was an outcast.
this song is just magical it really makes me think about all the people in the world who have less than i do
This song is so humbling...Why do we ask for so much and pay no attention to others who have so little?
Tell me about it. This song never fails to bring me to tears.
man walked at the beach, and Jesus was walking with him. man looked back from where they had been coming, and saw his own footprits on the sand.
