That sounds awesome! Durham do a really good English lit degree, some really fun modules! Really wish I took the myth and epic of the north one as it sounds so interesting :))
Where did you find your posters ? You may say the answer in the video but I am french so I don’t understand everything (You have a really different accent from those I listen normally)
I found the posters online and I used photoshop to make sure they were all the same size, then I printed them out :) As I could not find them anywhere in shops.
Hi! I am deciding whether to put Durham as my firm and for this college. I have alot of questions but I don't know anyone that studies here! Any chance u can helpp👍
@@thatonecharlie Thank you so much! I just wanted to know a bit more about cuths, such as bailey vs parsons, what the community is like and the night life in durham as i have heard its tiny! Also i have heard alot of negative things about Durham and saying it is quite clicky. I am not very posh, but I love sport and want to have fun at uni without being worked to the bone. And i just wanted your overall opinion.
I think both the Bailey and Parsons are great. The Bailey is in the peninsula part of Durham and close to most events in cuths which happen on the bailey. Although it is more expensive and you may have to share a room. Parsons is also great as it’s really close to humanties lectures as well as being one of the closest places to sports facilities in Durham. It’s also a lot cheaper and it’s still quick to reach the Bailey! The community in Durham is great, everyone is so friendly and you get to know so many different people. I don’t know where Durham gets its negative perception of its nightlife as I personally love it and so does everyone I know, it’s certainly different to many other places but it’s relatively cheap and has something for everyone. I don’t think Durham is very clicky and you certainly don’t need to be posh to fit in here. I’d say most people I know here went to state schools and have a normal background. There is plenty of opportunities for sport in Durham, as you can do loads of different sports at college level and also compete for the university in sport. I’ve definitely not been worked to the bone at Durham, but there is a fair amount of work depending on your subject. All in all I love it here, the people are great and there are so many opportunities available. If you have any other questions I’d be more than happy to answer them :)
I didn’t really know what college to chose, but Cuths was on the Bailey and it was quite a big college, plus it looked quite nice and had a good reputation among other colleges. Plus I had heard of St Cuthbert, so a few reasons 😂 but I love it here!
All of my flat mates are from cuth! But I am a grey lol! Nice video Charlie!
