I got an offer from durham and i made it my firm choice without really knowing what im getting myself into? whoops 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I just want to ask, what are the chances of getting an en-suite room? is it likely? i *really* don’t want to share bathrooms with 8-10 people which is apparently the case with standard rooms 😬
Hi! Congrats on getting an offer from durham! In terms of rooms, it differs for each college, but for Collingwood, there are a lot of en suite rooms here. A lot of the people on my floor (including myself) didn't actually apply for en suite but got one, so I'd say your chances are pretty good. But even if you don't get en suite, don't worry too much. A lot of my friends barely notice any discomfort from sharing bathrooms so I'm sure it would be fine. Great to hear you firmed durham!
@Sonia Bae Thank you so much!! After doing a bit more research, i feel less stress about sharing bathrooms. All the reviews i’ve read said they were very good in terms of hygiene and many students said they rarely had to wait for someone else or bumped into each other. So yeah i feel more relaxed now :) I’m torn between Collingwood and Grey since they’re the closest to the science department, i guess i still have some more things to consider before making my final choice :) Thanks again for this video, it’s really helpful!

Kate zhu yeah, we’re also given the option to stay in college for second and third year! Priority is given to first years though
