From Yiruma's North America 2017 Tour and 2019 Tour, Heart is inspired from the Gotjawal forest in the island of Jeju, off of the southern coast of the Korean peninsula. Speaking about the story behind the piece, Yiruma said "When I entered Gotjawal forest, I was entranced by the beauty of the nature and terrified at the same time because it was simply too beautiful. He creates a mysterious atmosphere by going between major and minor keys to show the beauty and fear that he felt in the forest.
