This is surprisingly beautiful chaconne. Despite just 4 measures of repeating, Biber can develop hundred of beautiful melodies. What a genius!👏 Thank you for sharing.
These baroque geniuses are not respected by modern classical audiences because the music is "easy" and structurally simpler by modern standards of "classical music." But once you hear it with ears looking back from Biber's time instead of forwards towards other eras, you can truly appreciate how incredible some of this music!
Oh my God! What a composition, what a performance! I cant stop listening. This progressions are living in the later, the contemporaly, the classical and even the popular music as well. Wonder performace from Acronim brilliant violan solist Adrienne Post. Thank You so much this miracle!
What a great composition! Marvelous played! I do hope this performance makes very clear what an outstanding composer Biber was and of course what a perfect performance this is!
I have been listening this piece and didn't know who was the composer until now! By the way, the album cover from Adriane Post is very interesting! Thank you!
I first heard this piece many years ago at a wedding when it was used as the assembly music prior to the processional. Absolutely stunning and set the mood perfectly! Now love Von Biber. Also, kudos to this performance. Excellent!
Please help me find the score video for Biber: Violin Sonata No. 6 in C Minor, C. 143: II. Passacaglia. Gunar Letzbor performs this on #21 on my Baroque playlist. Edit: could be from the Krenmunster manuscript
Unfortunately this wonderful work is plagiatory. It is based on the ground of Monteverdis madrigal "Zefiro torna" for two voices and continuo, which uses exactly the same ground but was written in 1632 or earlier.

Cannot believe this composer is not more famous. Stunningly beautiful. Brilliant development. This composer was a genius. Thank you for this.
this composer was the most famous violin virtuoso of the 18th century, he even was risen to nobility by the emperor for his virtuosity.
MAGNIFIQUE !

I've known of Biber, but have never heard a piece/Chaconne like this. My goodness, this is probably my favorite baroque piece ever.
The very fact that hif is not promoted in mainstream media speaks volumes to me
...long live the Germanic folk
Beautiful performance of basso continuo, too.

I would argue Biber was the most versatile and talented composer of his times - rivalled only by Telemann in terms of inventiveness and originality.

Wow ! One of the many fabulous Chaconnes from the Baroque period. Beautifully done. Could listen for hours.
Avec la partition, quel plaisir divin !
I already loved this performance, and was thrilled to find this video! Great work!
What is this transcribed from? Unless you mean composition in general
@@TheOneAndOnlyZeno Sorry, wrong word! I just meant that it was nice to follow along with sheet music.
@@scotchandgunpowder2586 No worries

Which instruments can be heard here - which instruments play the basso continuo?
Cello/Organ
& Lute
Où on peut trouver la partition du violon, sur quel site? Merci❤

And? Still no less beautiful because he used a similar bassline as xxx baroque composer.
Beautiful repetitive nightmare for cellist. Wonderful work nevertheless.
