Creators did an amazing job with this game. This is one of the few games I actually give so much credit too. Because they really put the time n effort into creating amazing Graphics, storyline & tasks.
A little bit of fun past trivia for those who weren't familiar with the first game [and spoiler, so beware] : When Alice is walking through the streets and all those people's heads change, then the old lady she was talking to head changes : they are turning into the head of the Jabberwocky, which was one of her biggest foes in the first game. I'm glad they portrayed it as so traumatic, because he was not a very fun fight for me, either. Both this game and the original were such gems in the gaming world. I'm glad to see it getting some attention again.
I loved this game when I played it only thing I had complaint about is how limited the combat system is as well as... Spoilers: It only has one boss. As for all the mini bosses they all feel the same as normal mobs which makes combat a bit stale and after beating the game it does not have much replayability unlike other hack and slash games. The teeth does not add much either given that you can buy everything halfway through your first playthrough. In spite of all these the story and grimdark humor/ atmosphere really carry this game and makes you want to play through it at least once. The platforming is also really good... they really should had made the platforming take on a larger role and cut down some of the combat or diversifying it some with more bosses... a real shame because american mcgee's alices combat is sooo good...
I am SO EXCITED that you’re playing this game. This is an underrated classic and I was so upset when they took it off steam. I got it on Origin during a sale for 75% off and to this day I’ve nearly completed it (I say nearly cause my computer crashes when I try to play it now. It’s stuck at 95% finished tho, which I’m satisfied for now with.) Little tidbits: the birds hanging in the early stages of the Hatter’s domain are Dodo birds (remember? The term Dead as a Dodo?), you can shrink yourself on top a violet to replenish your health, and make sure you try not to die too much, cause I think you lose teeth if you do, which will hinder your upgrading for all weapons, current and further down the line.
Asylums back then were literal Hellholes. I've never been in one, least of all the ones back then, but I have a fear of Victorian Era Insane Asylums....

It’s interesting to see how people view cartoons, books, and movies if they were dark and basically a horror movie. It’s great fun learning about how people can view things and the effort they use to show the visualising they have. That’s why I love this. I think it’s great to teach your kids about the way of this.

Wow, never thought I’d be able to see this game again. I never got the chance play this or the original due to never owning something that could play either, and I’ve wanted to know both stories in full because of such an interesting idea this is. I know I could read a wiki, but there’s a difference between reading about a game’s story and actually seeing it, and I’ve desperately wanted to see both games stories in full. Every lets play I find of both games are either incomplete, have no commentary which makes it kinda boring after awhile, or the commentator is kinda...meh. But this! One of my personal favorite RUclipsrs playing this! Finally!!!
I’m ready for this! I hope he can do the OG somehow too.
Now it’s time to go head first into the twisted and distorted land created by a broken and scarred mind, let us Dive Into Alice’s Madness...
I’m late but THIS. I got obsessed with this game when I first found it but like you mentioned none of the playthroughs ever got past the hatters domain, had no commentary or cut out the prettiest parts of the game
Me: I’m first!
That one comment: hey.
Well true...
Wait am I actually first?
When I first found out your channel I wanted to know if you have Alice Madness Return videos cause I love this game so much, and here we go 😭 I'm so happy 😭
I love that more and more people are starting to play this game
Creators did an amazing job with this game. This is one of the few games I actually give so much credit too. Because they really put the time n effort into creating amazing Graphics, storyline & tasks.
A little bit of fun past trivia for those who weren't familiar with the first game [and spoiler, so beware] :
When Alice is walking through the streets and all those people's heads change, then the old lady she was talking to head changes : they are turning into the head of the Jabberwocky, which was one of her biggest foes in the first game. I'm glad they portrayed it as so traumatic, because he was not a very fun fight for me, either.
Both this game and the original were such gems in the gaming world. I'm glad to see it getting some attention again.
Doctor: Go get your pills Alice.
Fran Bow: Don’t steal any of my Doutine!!! 😂😂
Hahaha good one 🤣
YES!!! I LOVE this game!!! You will love this!
I loved this game when I played it only thing I had complaint about is how limited the combat system is as well as...
Spoilers:
It only has one boss.
It’s stuck at 95% finished tho, which I’m satisfied for now with.)
Little tidbits: the birds hanging in the early stages of the Hatter’s domain are Dodo birds (remember? The term Dead as a Dodo?), you can shrink yourself on top a violet to replenish your health, and make sure you try not to die too much, cause I think you lose teeth if you do, which will hinder your upgrading for all weapons, current and further down the line.
"You're as randomly lethal and entirely confused as you ever were" is the most epic backhanded compliment I ever heard to this day 🤣
I’ve researched that there’s supposed to be a third game of this, idk when though. But the creator is working on it
Keep dreaming lol
lil Froggo :3
I heard that it’s coming at the end of 2021
I really like these type of game that is very bizzare,a bit of thriller and scary just like Fran Bow...
Your making me download this game😂
Asylums back then were literal Hellholes. I've never been in one, least of all the ones back then, but I have a fear of Victorian Era Insane Asylums....
This game is one of my absolute favorites! I am a HUGE Alice in Wonderland fan. Disney, true novel, games, theories, it’s all fascinating to me ❤️❤️ I played this game a few years ago so I enjoy seeing you play through this again!
It’s interesting to see how people view cartoons, books, and movies if they were dark and basically a horror movie. It’s great fun learning about how people can view things and the effort they use to show the visualising they have. That’s why I love this. I think it’s great to teach your kids about the way of this.
I've seen many theories on the story of this and the traumatic experiences behind Alice's past but you have NO CLUE how excited I am to watch you're theories and such on this if possible! Thanks so much I have wanted this for the months and years I have watched you
Dude, I love how Alice's dress changes when she visits a new location💙🖤💙🖤
I've been streaming this on my twitch for the past few weeks. Excited to see someone else playing it! It's a lot of fun. I love the enemy designs. So good and such a good story!
If we’re getting a story analysis after this playthrough I’m looking forward to it.
It’s nice to see this game getting some love. It’s been one of my favorites for a long time.
No way I was just wanting to watch a new play through of this!! One of my favourites, SHB remains an EXCELLENT channel
Duuude Yes! I love this game.
Can’t wait to see a full playthrough
Super horror bro you should play part 2 of alice nightmares
Goddamn they made Alice so beautiful
Finally after Pewds left it I felt empty I wanted someone to finish it! Gosh I love you Superhorrorbro😍😍
This game deserves a saga tbh it’s amazing
I loved the atmosphere, gameplay is also great. This game is definitely underated. Still awesome.
I love how you play the game , it really makes me nostalgic. It brings me back 8 years ago when my father would bring me to his work place.
My friend, you're in for one hell of a ride! This game as a rich, intriguing story and delves deep into the macabre, you're gonna love it.
Oooh I love this game! Definitely a classic for me. The cutscenes are so cool and striking!
Yes!! I loved this game and still have it, my favorite levels were The Mysterious East and Queensland.
How do you always find these great games? :0
If were gonna be honest, I prefer the creepy Alice in Wonderland over the Original Alice in Wonderland. The creepy one is just amazing! (With my little knowledge of the Creepy version, its about a girl with Alice in Wonderland syndrome and its super dark and twisted)
I am so excited that you are doing a playthrough of this amazing game. I remember playing this a long time ago and getting stuck somewhere around the middle. If I remember correctly this game gets quite hard but I know you can do it. Can't wait for the next video and to find out what the rest of this game was like.
Omg I'm so glad someone like you take a chance on such an underrated game
The people in this game kinda look like the people in the maw from little nightmares
Please he's so polite-
"Alice can dodge attacks"
"Yes we know, we do that all the time game"
AHHHH MY FAVORITE RUclipsR- I love your theory videos keep up the great work :))
It's been a while since I've seen someone play this game since pewdiepie
A while? That's literally almost 3 or even more years ago
This is my favorite game ever!!! I've replayed it so many times and I have lines memorized.
Alice looking mighty fine ngl
Amazing game. I loved this game so much that I collected all achievements and trophies for both 360 and ps3. I really hope we get another Alice game soon.
*It's* *a* *me* *ALICE*
Mario: It's a she *Alice*
What I love is that, in this tale the Alice isn’t the character from the book: the book is canon in this universe which was made clear in the first cutscene in the original game. This Alice loved the book and her mind uses it as a defense to deal with her trauma.
It’s actually pretty damn clever.
