    Scott Ross, il poeta del clavicembalo, la sua genialità interpretativa resta ineguagliata...............Attraverso il suo magistero il clavicembalo - per le musiche scritte in origine per questo magnifico strumento - impone la sua netta superiorità sul pianoforte.

    I think this is the performance that Bach would have preferred. It's astonishing!

    Any man that could write music like that could easily father 27 children! Bach, my man!

    • @msotil
      @msotil 4 года назад +9

      Credit where credit is due, but JS Bach fathered 20 children, of whom only 10 survived to adulthood. His first child was born when he was 23 and the last one when he was 57.

    Le 6 Partite composte da J.S.Bach furono concepite per clavicembalo. Tuttavia oggi si eseguono anche al pianoforte con un risultato differente naturalmente conferendo alla musica un contenuto non barocco ma leggermente romantico come il pianoforte suggerisce.

    Encenser Scott Ross parait désormais dérisoire, mais de là où il est j'aimerais qu'il sache qu'il reste toujours LE claveciniste sans équivalent...La clarté de son jeu toute destinée à l'auditeur et non à lui-même. Prouvant qu'il faut toujours savoir se mettre à la place du public. Le savant dosage de puissance entre la main gauche et la droite, indispensable, surtout chez Bach, est parfait chez Scott Ross qui a su faire sonner à merveille le clavecin, ébauche imparfaite du piano. Reliefs, rythmes, sentiments, effets sonores, respirations, sont suffisamment mis en avant tout en permettant aux mélodies de ne pas etre noyées. Peut être faut il effectivement être organiste avant tout pour bien interpréter Bach. Chapeau Mr Ross!

      @@lucienvergez1565 I can still read French, I think, and I gather you're saying that the piece is written for the Harpsichord, not the piano, and by implication the original instrument will be better. I can't say I completely agree. I mostly agree. But, you'd have to at least admit that there are some good interpretations by pianists.

      You mean the six keyboard Partitas? They are some of Bach's greatest works, and perhaps the finest is the E-minor, No. 6.

    • @soaringvulture
      @soaringvulture 5 лет назад +3

      I played them over and over and still didn't know them. The Partitas are works of genius on every page and I think you need to be a genius to play them. But even playing them poorly elevated my spirit; they are not of this earth.
